Mexico’s Trade Environment Remains Uncertain

Trade uncertainty remains a key factor shaping global logistics. The World Trade Uncertainty Index (WTUI) measures how difficult it is for companies to anticipate changes in tariffs, trade rules and market access. Mexico’s index has increased significantly since 2025, reflecting growing trade tensions and uncertainty surrounding the USMCA. For importers and exporters, this can make it more challenging to anticipate costs, adjust sourcing strategies and plan delivery times.
