Today is World Autism Awareness Day.

A reminder that the way we experience the world isn’t the same for everyone and that matters.

Travel, like so many things, isn’t one size fits all. The best experiences are the ones that feel comfortable, supportive, and meaningful for each individual.

There’s a lot of value in slowing down, listening, and creating space for everyone to experience the world in a way that works for them.

As Women’s History Month comes to a close, I’ve been thinking about how much has changed for women… including how we move through the world.

The ability to travel, explore, build careers, create our own paths, none of that happened by accident.

It was built by women who came before us, who pushed for more.

And now we get to decide what we do with that.

Where we go. What we experience. How we live.

Here’s to continuing to explore, grow, and not shrink our world.

Sometimes you don’t realize how much you need a break until you let your mind wander somewhere else.

A different place. A slower pace. Something to look forward to.

Today is National Virtual Vacation Day, which is really just a reminder that it’s okay to pause, dream a little, and think about where you’d go if you could. Vacations restore our minds, bodies, and souls. For example, studies show that taking a vacation lowers the risk of heart disease. They also help hone our problem-solving skills and promote overall brain health.

And if that place keeps coming to mind… maybe it’s worth turning into something real.

Lately I’ve been going down the rabbit hole on world cruises.

The more I learn, the more I realize they’re not just for retirees disappearing for months. There are full world cruises, shorter segments, and even ways to join for just part of the journey.

It’s actually much more doable than most people think if you plan far enough ahead.

I’m not booking one yet, but I am paying attention… and the idea of seeing the world one port at a time keeps pulling me in.

Lately I keep coming back to the same thought…
One day I want to do a world cruise.

Not just a vacation, but a once in a lifetime journey around the globe.

I don’t know exactly when yet, but I do know that the more I work in travel, the more I realize these dreams don’t just happen. They take planning, timing, and a little courage.

For now, I’m doing what I always do… helping others plan amazing trips while slowly mapping out my own.

Today we took the ferry from St. Thomas over to St. John and spent the day exploring this beautiful island. It’s easy to see why so many people love it here. Crystal clear water, stunning beaches, and such a relaxed, peaceful vibe.

One of the best parts of visiting the U.S. Virgin Islands is being able to experience more than one island in the same trip, and St. John is definitely worth it.

We wrapped up the day back on the ship with one of Holland America’s Signature events, the Orange Party, which is always a fun way to end a perfect day in port. 🧡

Travel tip: If you’re cruising the Caribbean, look for itineraries that stop in St. Thomas so you have the chance to visit St. John too.

Another beautiful day in St. Maarten ☀️🌴

We spent the morning relaxing at Little Bay, one of my favorite spots for a perfect beach day. Calm, clear water, soft sand, and plenty of chairs and umbrellas to sit back and enjoy the view. Exactly what a Caribbean port day should be.

After the beach, we headed over to Front Street for some shopping and strolling. This area is always fun to explore with cute shops, great jewelry stores, and lots of places to grab a cold drink and people-watch.

St. Maarten is such an easy and fun port because you can mix beach time with town time without feeling rushed. Definitely a great stop for anyone who wants a relaxed but still interesting day.

If you are planning a Caribbean cruise, this is one port where I always recommend having a beach plan.

It’s been a minute since I’ve been to San Juan and I had forgotten how enjoyable this island is. Today we explored a bunch of it. Went over to new San Juan. then over to one of Then the forts in old San Juan. Finished our exploration with a mojito.
