Hey y’all, it’s your favorite flight attendant back to share some flight etiquette, because some folks just don’t know better.
1. Respect Personal Space:
Everyone loves their space, so make sure to keep your elbows, legs and HAIR within your designated area. Please, no hair flipping over your seat or toes poking in between seats, it's rude and nasty.
2. Quiet Zone Courtesy:
We all appreciate a peaceful flight. Lower your voice during conversations and avoid loud music or videos without headphones. I will politely ask you to turn your videos and music off without headphones. Had a gentleman in first class with ear phones on and his device not connected. He had no idea. He was just laughing. 😂
3. Aisle Access Awareness:
If you're seated in the aisle, or walking in the aisle please be mindful when getting up or stretching. Avoid bumping into fellow passengers and flight attendants as you move around. I have seen so many be hit by others being inconsiderate or simply unaware. Also PLEASE don’t come to the galley on a small plane. It is tight enough and you trying to do a full workout isn’t going to work. (Had a lady try to do yoga as we are setting up the carts) 🤞🏾
4: Timing is Key:
Need to use the restroom? Try to time it between service carts to avoid blocking the aisle or inconveniencing others. Also, PLEASE wear shoes. That is not water on the floor.😩
5. Your sweet kids:
They learn from watching you and what you may allow them to do at home, they simply can’t do on the planes. Please don’t allow them to violently kick the seats in front of them, or push all the call buttons like it’s a game or pop passengers on their heads as they stand in your lap. They are indeed super cute, but their actions are NOT. Last week, a kid yanked a lady’s wig off, she was seated in front of him. 🥹
I know traveling is exciting but let’s make the journey enjoyable for everyone on board.
