El día de ayer iniciamos con una de las etapas más importantes dentro del mantenimiento de Ada: el mantenimiento general de su motor.

Este motor fue instalado por mi papá hace 11 años, y desde entonces ha sido parte fundamental de cada salida, cada navegación y cada historia vivida a bordo. Para nosotros, el motor es mucho más que una pieza mecánica: es el corazón del barco, el impulso silencioso que nos acompaña incluso cuando el viento descansa.

Durante los próximos 21 días estaremos trabajando en este proceso, que sin duda representa uno de los retos más grandes que hemos asumido como equipo. Pero también es una oportunidad para seguir honrando lo que Ada significa: cuidado, compromiso, historia y la responsabilidad de hacer las cosas bien.

Cada mantenimiento nos recuerda que un barco no solo se conserva con pintura, herramientas o refacciones. Se conserva con amor, constancia y respeto por todo lo que nos ha dado.

Gracias a todos los que han sido parte de esta historia y a quienes siguen confiando en nosotros. Seguimos trabajando para que Ada vuelva al agua más fuerte, más segura y lista para seguir navegando con el mismo corazón de siempre. ⛵

Today we begin one of the most important stages of Ada’s maintenance: a complete general service of her engine.

This engine was installed by my father 11 years ago, and since then it has been a fundamental part of every trip, every sail, and every story lived on board. For us, the engine is much more than a mechanical part: it is the heart of the boat, the quiet force that carries us forward even when the wind is resting.

Over the next 21 days, we will be working through this process, which is without a doubt one of the biggest challenges we have taken on as a team. But it is also an opportunity to keep honoring what Ada represents: care, commitment, history, and the responsibility of doing things the right way.

Every maintenance process reminds us that a boat is not preserved only with paint, tools, or new parts. It is preserved with love, consistency, and deep respect for everything it has given us.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this story and to those who continue to trust us. We are working hard so Ada can return to the water stronger, safer, and ready to keep sailing with the same heart as always. ⛵

These past few days, we have been working on Ada’s bottom maintenance — sanding, preparing, inspecting, and giving her the attention she deserves before going back into the water.

Ada is not just a boat to us. She is a classic sailing vessel with history, character, and soul. Taking care of her properly is part of our commitment, not only to the boat herself, but also to every guest who chooses to sail with us.

Good experiences don’t happen by accident. They are built with time, responsibility, constant maintenance, and a deep respect for what we do.

This is also why Ada Sailing is who we are today: a small company that believes in doing things with care, with honesty, and without cutting corners.
