🚨A lot of police in Mexico City? 🇲🇽

If you’ve walked around the Historic Center, you’ve probably seen them — but don’t worry, it’s completely normal! The city keeps a strong police presence to help maintain safety, so travelers can explore without concern.

In another video, we’ll talk about how effective they are and what people think — for now, just know they don’t have as much authority as in some other countries.

Curious for more? Check out the Netflix documentary “A Cop Movie” (Una película de policías) to understand a side of Mexico few know.

🇲🇽 🚨 Chilaquiles with Barbacoa — not normal, not for everyone… but you HAVE to try it.

We found it at Conejo en la Luna, where breakfast gets wild: slow-cooked lamb barbacoa paired with chilaquiles. Bold, unexpected, unforgettable.

In Mexico, barbacoa is usually a weekend ritual — here, you can have it any day, with fresh mandarin juice and streets full of life.

🌍✨ TRAVEL TIP ✨🌍 Mexico-Poland

Every time you travel, learn a few words in the local language — it makes a huge difference! Even just saying thank you, please, or hello can open hearts, make people smile, and create small but beautiful connections
Here in Poland, I tried saying “Dziękuję” (thank you) — maybe not perfectly 😅 — but people smile every time, and that’s what matters.

And if you come to Mexico City, you can do the same — Gracias, Por favor, Buen provecho — and maybe we’ll meet in person on a bike, sharing food, culture, and a lot of stories. 🚲🌮🇲🇽

🇲🇽✨ El Penacho de Moctezuma — one of Mexico’s most powerful symbols — isn’t in Mexico… it’s in Vienna, Austria.

It originally came from Tenochtitlan, the heart of the Mexica empire (today’s Mexico City). It’s made of sacred feathers like quetzal, and is believed to have been sent to Europe in the early 1500s, during the first encounters between the Aztec and Spanish worlds. Centuries later, it ended up in Austria, where it remains today.

In English, people often call it Moctezuma’s Feathered Headdress, but honestly, nothing compares to how it sounds in Spanish — el Penacho de Moctezuma.

In this video, I speak in Spanish, which is rare for our channel, but this one comes straight from the heart — it’s for all Mexicans, wherever we are, who still carry the rhythm and pride of our roots.

Sometimes you have to stand far from home to realize how deeply it lives within you. ❤️🇲🇽

👀 They tried to erase Mexico’s colors — and its art.

These hand-painted street signs are called “rótulos.”

They’re not just decoration — they’re part of Mexican folk art, born from decades of color, humor, and everyday creativity.

During the last local administration, every food stand in the Cuauhtémoc district had to be painted silver and white. All the rótulos — the soul of the street — disappeared. 😞

Now, color is slowly coming back… but sadly, the new mayor is starting similar restrictions again. Let’s hope this part of Mexican tradition doesn’t vanish.

If you want to see these rótulos, taste the food, and hear the stories behind them — come ride with us 🚲🇲🇽

🇲🇽They say Tepito is dangerous…that there’s nothing to see, or that you should avoid it.

But Tepito is part of Mexico City’s soul.

This is where boxing was born, street commerce thrived, and a unique kind of resistance was created.

Something I learned on this tour with our friends and brothers from
is that Tepito is like the ocean — you shouldn’t be afraid of it but you do need to respect it 🌊

Because once you’re inside, you’ll meet people with huge hearts, sharing what they have with pride and authenticity.

Get to know the real Tepito ❤️

🔔 Ever heard a bell in the streets of Mexico City at night?
That’s not an ice cream truck. It’s the trash truck.

Here, garbage collection works differently: when you hear the bell, you’ve got to run downstairs with your trash and hand it directly to the collectors. No bins outside, no fixed pickup times — just the sound of the bell echoing through the neighborhood.

And yes — it’s also customary to give a small tip, usually 5 or 10 pesos, to thank the crew. They work hard every day (and night) keeping this massive city clean.
It’s one of those little systems that only make sense in Mexico City — chaotic, human, and surprisingly efficient.

👀 What’s the garbage system like where you live?
