Thank You to everyone checking in on us in beautiful Indonesia 🇮🇩. As the news of the 7.4 earthquake this morning makes its way across the world, we wanted to let everyone know we are safe! Currently we’re on board the Coralia Liveaboard, Raja Ampat in Misool in southern Raja Ampat, and didn’t feel a thing! However we did just leave Lembeh & Manado just 2 days ago, and are receiving reports that there is some earthquake damage and they felt the big shake! This area in the heart of the “ring of fire”, earthquakes are very common.

We are sending hugs & love to any of our friends & colleagues in Sulawesi/Halmahera who have been impacted!

We’re having an amazing time out here in Misool. Stunning dives, morning hike to love lagoon, birthday celebrations, beautiful sunsets, amazing group of dive buddies, and of course a fun April Fools! With so much more to come!

🤩 Hot Off the Press 🤩
Sharing some exciting news! Last month in Socorro on board the Belle Amie we had a beautiful whale shark encounter! Working with behind the scenes, I learned we had encountered a new (to the database) whale shark in the Mexican Pacific region. 👏👏👏

Introducing the beautiful Belle Amie (Beautiful Friend) whale shark, named after the wonderful liveaboard that took us to Socorro! She’s among roughly 900~1000 whale sharks IDed in this region. We love participating and supporting citizen science programs/projects where we dive doing important work to protect marine life.

On behalf of everyone in our group on the Dec 2025 Socorro trip, a donation has been made to support these important initiatives. Thank you for the work you’re doing for whale sharks in the Mexican Pacific! 🙏 (While we initially thought she might be pregnant, we actually don’t know without an ultrasound).

🤿 What a year! 🤿

Celebrating all of YOU who hopped on a Designed for Scuba trip this year! From the stunning atolls of the Maldives to black sand muck of Lembeh and everywhere else in between, together we’ve sure traveled near and far, and dove in many iconic locations!

This year we’ve welcomed many new faces and so many of you returned joining lots of trips! I am forever in awe and grateful for this incredible community that loves to dive & travel together! Without you, none of this would be possible! 🤗 🤿

Big HUGE thanks as well to all our partners around the globe who also the trips seamless. Everyone handles so many things behind the scenes so we can have incredible experiences underwater and topside! 🙏 .gaia .dive.resort

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas🎄(to those celebrating today)!
