Hyatt Zilara Cancun dining

Today’s highlight from my recent stay at Hyatt Zilara Cancun is the food!

Five restaurants are included with your stay, plus two specialty dining experiences available for an additional charge.

I love breakfast on a balcony, so two mornings we ordered from the full room-service menu. It even included made-to-order omelets—not your typical room-service breakfast!

Another morning, we picked up delicious fresh pastries and coffee from Casa Del Café and enjoyed them from our lounge chairs on the beach. Our fourth breakfast was at Spices, the international buffet. It offered crepe, omelet and egg stations—and we always found a table overlooking the water.

Dinner at Olio D’Oliva included Margherita pizza and spaghetti and meatballs. Both were delicious, but the tiramisu and gelato may have stolen the show!

Sīlù is the Asian fusion restaurant featuring teppanyaki. We shared steak, shrimp and fried rice. My favorite was the trio sushi plate—and I’m not even a huge sushi fan!

Pier 12 offers open-air dining overlooking the beautiful beach. The whole fried fish, fried shrimp sandwich and flavorful Greek salad were all excellent lunch choices.

From breakfast on our balcony to lunch beside the beach and memorable dinners, wonderful food and drinks were always available—and the service was just as impressive.

Edited to add- We came out early for a last few hours of beach before we head home. The staff of the Turtle Rescue organization came down the beach collecting the eggs from the nests and the buckets of hatched babies that had been collected. No pictures were allowed but the Supervisor told us that he collected 121 eggs from the nest we saw this morning. The eggs look like ping pong balls and were wrapped in sand. The eggs are soft and leathery.

We had the most extraordinary experience last night. We watched a sea turtle (from afar) make her nest, lay her eggs and go back to the sea. Then, a nest of baby turtles hatched and we helped a security guard collect them and take them to the sea. There were at least 30 of them.

This morning on our last day Hyatt Zilara Cancun, we got up for the sunrise and saw another momma turtle finish her long walk back to the sea from our balcony. We were gifted a fascinating and unique experience.

Hyatt Zilara Cancun Presidential Suite

I had the opportunity to tour one of the Presidential Suites at Hyatt Zilara Cancun, and it was impressive!

The resort has five Presidential Suites, each offering a beautiful oceanfront view. They are perfect for travelers who prefer a separate bedroom and living area, with plenty of space for entertaining friends. The bathroom is spacious with a full walk in closet. Each suite can also connect to an adjacent room when additional beds are needed.

For an even more extraordinary stay, there is one Grand Presidential Suite. Its expansive balcony stretches across three rooms and overlooks the Caribbean. The suite features a full kitchen, dining room, living room and separate bedroom. You can even arrange for a private chef to prepare a special dinner right in your suite.

We were also invited to experience one of the resort’s best-kept secrets. As your travel advisor, I now have all the details—and I can’t wait to share them with my clients!

The water has been more beautiful each day. It’s simply extraordinary.
