On July 13 at 17:55, an aviation accident occurred off the island of Samos with an the helicopter Reg. number ER-MHU , which was operating under a firefighting contract in Greece. As a result of the accident the helicopter fell into the water while collecting water to extinguish fires. At the moment, it is known that two crew members survived and are in a satisfactory condition in the hospital and one of the crew members and the Greek coordinator died. According to preliminary information, adverse weather conditions could be the cause of the disaster. The reasons of the accident are being investigated a. The body of the deceased pilot will be repatriated to Republic of Moldova.

The air company "VALAN ICC" managed to establish contact with the commander of the helicopter Reg. number ER-MHU, who is currently hospitalized and the following statements were made:
As a result of the aviation accident on July 13, the following crew members survived:
Aircraft commander.
Board mechanic.
The state of health is satisfactory.
Unfortunately, the co-pilot and the Greek coordinator died.
Air Company "VALAN ICC" is taking all necessary measures to repatriate the deceased co-pilot as soon as possible.
Also, work continues on the investigation of the accident.

13 июля в 17:55 у острова Самос произошло авиационное происшествие с вертолётом ER-MHU, который работал по контракту пожаротушений в Греции. В результате происшествия при заборе воды с целью тушения пожаров вертолёт упал в воду. На данный момент известно о том, что двое членов экипажа выжили и в удовлетворительном состоянии находятся в больнице и один из членов экипажа и греческий координатор погибли. По предварительной информации причиной катастрофы могли быть неблагоприятные погодные условия. Причины выясняются и будет проведено расследование данного происшествия. Тело погибшего пилота будет репатриировано в Молдову.

ОБНОВЛЕНИЕ:

Авиакомпания „VALAN ICC” удалось установить связь с командиром вертолета рег. номер ER MHU, который в настоящее время госпитализирован и, согласно его заявлению:

В результате авиационного происшествия 13 июля выжили:

Командир воздушного судна.

Борт механик.

Состояние здоровья удовлетворительное.

К сожалению, второй пилот и греческий координатор погибли.

Авиакомпания „VALAN ICC” предпринимает все необходимые меры с целью скорейшей репатриации погибшего второго пилота.

Также, продолжаются работы по расследованию авиационного происшествия.

Accident aeronautic

Pe 13 iulie la ora 17:55 a avut loc un accident aeronautic cu implicarea elicopterului companiei aeriene „VALAN ICC”, nr. înreg. ER MHU care era antrenat în acțiuni de stingere a incendiilor în Grecia.
În momentul aprovizionării cu apă pentru stingerea incendiilor pe insula Samos, elicopterul s-a prăbușit în mare.
Drept consecință, doi membri ai echipajului au supraviețuit și sunt spitalizați într-o stare satisfăcătoare.
Cu regret, unul dintre membrii echipajului și coordonatorul grec au decedat.
Potrivit informațiilor preliminare, motivul accidentului aeronautic-condițiile meteorologice nefavorabile.
Activitățile de investigare al accidentului aeronautic sunt în desfășurare.
Cadavrul pilotului decedat va fi repatriat în cel mai scurt timp în Republica Moldova.

Compania aeriană „VALAN ICC” a luat legătura cu comandantul aeronavei nr. înreg. ER MHU, care la moment este spitalizat și potrivit comunicatului acestuia:

În rezultatul accidentului aeronautic din 13 iulie, au supraviețuit:

Comandantul aeronavei.
Mecanicul de bord.

Starea de sănătate al acestora este satisfăcătoare.

Cu regret, co-pilotul și coordonatorul grec, au decedat.

Compania aeriană „VALAN ICC”, la moment întreprinde toate măsurile necesare în vederea repatrierii co-pilotului decedat.

Concomitent, activitățile de investigare al accidentului aeronautic sunt în desfășurare.

Today we will share with you some information about aerial firefighting, for which in most cases are used Bambi buckets.

So what is Bambi Bucket? - It is a specialised bucket suspended on a cable carried by a helicopter to deliver water for aerial firefighting. Each bucket has a release valve on the bottom which is controlled by the helicopter crew. When the helicopter is in position, the crew releases the water to extinguish or suppress the fire below.
