Van life definitely isn’t always picture perfect 😔

After finally arriving in Switzerland, Jodie became really ill and couldn’t stop being sick.

Spent most of the day trying to sort a SIM card, getting supplies and hoping she’d feel better soon 🤍

Travelling full time teaches you very quickly that you just have to adapt to whatever gets thrown at you.

Van life Switzerland begins 🇨🇭

Honestly, this was one of the countries we dreamed about most while building the van. Seeing it become real felt surreal.

We parked beside Lake Geneva and jumped into the freezing water straight away 🥶🌊

The start of 3 weeks we’ll probably never forget 🤍

We woke up halfway through France with absolutely no data for maps 😭

Turns out overnight syncing had somehow used everything.
Not ideal when you’re relying on maps full time 😅

It’s funny because these moments feel stressful at the time, but they always become the stories we laugh about later.

A very realistic van life day 😅

Laundry, water fills, toilet emptying, shopping and lots of driving as we started making our way towards Switzerland 🇨🇭

Sometimes van life is incredible mountain views… other days it’s sitting in laundrettes waiting for your clothes to dry 😂

Still wouldn’t trade it for anything though 🤍

Exploring Besalú honestly felt like stepping into another world 🌉

The huge stone bridge, medieval streets and old buildings made it feel like a movie set.

One thing we’ve loved most about travelling slowly is finding places we probably never would’ve visited on a normal holiday.

Golden hour in Peratallada ✨

This place genuinely felt frozen in time. Tiny stone streets, warm evening light and barely anyone around.

Spain surprised us so much on this trip - there are so many beautiful places people don’t really talk about.

Spent my birthday exploring the beautiful hilltop town of Morella 🎂🏰

There’s something really special about birthdays while travelling - you remember them differently because every year is tied to a completely different place and memory.

We wandered through the old streets, stopped for beers and finished the day with Italian food and pizza 🍕

Couldn’t have picked a better place to spend it honestly 🤍

Today we visited Fuente de los Baños for a swim before finding one of the craziest wild park-ups we’ve had so far 😳🏔️

The views honestly didn’t feel real.
Days like this still make us stop and think about how different life looks now compared to this time last year.

Back then we were building this van after work every evening… now this is home 🤍🚐

After months of constantly moving, driving and exploring, it honestly felt so nice to slow down for a week in Calpe with Jodie’s family ☀️

We spent the week catching up, eating good food, relaxing by the pool and just appreciating being around familiar faces again.

One thing van life has taught us is how important those quieter moments are too. It’s easy to get caught up chasing the next destination, but sometimes you really need a reset 🤍
