Shortly after the heaviest rain, we headed into the Sahara on request of our visitors. The first day it still rained quite a bit, and we saw an entirely different desert than usual. All the plants and stones had been washed clean and were incredibly vibrant, puddles of water were everywhere, and we saw a few small lakes of collected rainwater.

The next morning, we experienced one of our most extraordinary sunrises. The sun had finally returned after the rain, and the Sahara got covered in a rapidly moving mist, something we’d never seen before in this landscape. After breakfast, we took a different route back and encountered various animals and a few nomads on our our way back home to Beni Hayoun 🌴
