Today, Abercrombie & Kent celebrates a significant milestone. On April 26th, 1962, Geoffrey Kent and his parents launched our first photographic safari in Kenya. Over the past 60 years, we have grown by bringing the same spirit of adventure found on safaris to destinations around the world, on all seven continents.

Thank you for entrusting us with the opportunity to change lives through travel. And we look forward to welcoming your guests again in the future.

Dear A&K Family,
Greetings from sunny Marrakech!
Please find hereunder the latest update on the borders opening:
It is now possible to travel to Morocco under the following conditions:
- For all citizen with no visa requirement
- A negative results of a PCR test for COVID-19 with the results dated no earlier than 72 hours prior to departure (of the last leg)
- A valid hotel reservation or for business travel an invitation letter from the Moroccan company visited
- Travel on one of the “special flights” currently operated to Morocco ( list below)
- Present on arrival a pre filled “passenger health form” completed on Morocco National Airport Authority – Health form and printed prior to arrival
Emergency state has been extended until December 10th, 2020; and that includes: mandatory mask-wear in public areas, curfews applied in the some cities of the country, maximum of 50% capacity in most establishments (with strict fines in place in case of non-compliance), and travels between cities may be restricted to a specific authorization delivered by local authorities.
Thus, and while our entire team is buzzing with excitement to start creating dreams and memories again; we think that at this stage we are only able to guarantee our quality of service for one location holiday, as travels between cities are yet to be officially addressed by local authorities to clarify requirements. We believe that it is too early for the moment to promise a full itinerary throughout the country. As the situation is still changing nearly on daily basis, we shall study every request on case by case and will let you know of any evolution.

Over the course of the last few days, you will have probably seen various press reports announcing the reopening of Morocco. Whilst we were aware of ongoing discussions, nobody expected a full re-opening and we have therefore taken time to check the detail of the announcement.

It now seems that such reports were premature and referred to legislation authorising access to limited travellers on business or to those returning home. Some companies have decided to use a loophole to announce that leisure travellers can now visit Morocco. Having spoken directly to government and authorities in Morocco, our strongly-held view is that this approach is extremely risky and leisure travellers may be turned away.

As such, A&K Morocco has taken the decision not to reopen incoming trips for now. Instead we will monitor the situation over the coming two weeks and make a decision once we better understand the actual situation which remains very fluid.

As things stand, even if travellers can get into Morocco, there are limits on their movements within the country plus a curfew from 10pm daily in certain areas with limited hotels and restaurants open at other times. We therefore do not recommend sending guests just yet.

Much as it pains us to turn people away from our beautiful country, we absolutely feel this is the right decision for you and your guests. We hope you understand. Your continued support is much appreciated.

My name is Marco, Cruise Manager for Abercrombie & Kent Morocco. Originally from Peru and having the opportunity to visit many places around the world, definitely Chefchaouen is one of the most stunning places that I have visited in my life.

We all have an idea of what a country like Morocco look like, but I believe in falling in love with something special on each spot in the world, and definitely Chefchaouen fills my traveling soul to the limit.
