3 Days Desert Tour from Marrakech to Merzouga
Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley
Your adventure starts in the morning with a pick-up from your accommodation in Marrakech. Then, you will travel through the beautiful High Atlas Mountains and cross the famous Tizi n'Tichka Pass, the highest mountain pass in Morocco. Along the way, you will enjoy amazing landscapes, traditional Berber villages, and panoramic photo stops.
Later, you will visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its ancient kasbahs and movie history. Many famous films and series were filmed here, including Gladiator and Game of Thrones.
After lunch, continue to Ouarzazate, often called the “Hollywood of Morocco.” You may stop to see the exterior of Taourirt Kasbah or the film studios before driving through the Valley of Roses and the Road of 1000 Kasbahs.
In the evening, arrive in the beautiful Dades Valley where you will enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in a comfortable hotel surrounded by mountains and nature.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, continue your journey toward the Sahara Desert. The first stop will be the spectacular Todra Gorge, famous for its massive canyon walls and natural beauty. You will have time to walk through the gorge and enjoy the peaceful river and local atmosphere.
Then, continue through desert landscapes and traditional villages until arriving in Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert and the famous Erg Chebbi dunes.
In the afternoon, your camel trekking experience starts. Ride camels across the golden sand dunes while enjoying one of the most magical sunsets in Morocco. After reaching the desert camp, you will be welcomed with Moroccan tea and dinner.
At night, enjoy Berber music around the campfire under the stars before spending the night in a luxury desert camp in the heart of the Sahara.
