Our day dedicated to mushroom hunting spent with families, children, and four-legged friends, was truly wonderful.
We strolled through the woods, breathed in the fresh air, and scoured every corner looking for mushrooms which, truth be told, played hard to get.
But as the saying goes: when Plan A doesn't work, Plan B kicks in! So, we headed to Società Dante Alighieri - Luxembourg. They welcomed us warmly, turning a woodland walk into an even better experience: we all gathered around the stove, ready to prepare our own canederli (bread dumplings).
Then, something special happened: we spontaneously decided to keep our phones in our pockets. It was a simple gesture, yet deeply meaningful. On one hand, it was a way to respect those who had chosen this outing specifically to take a break from social media; on the other, it allowed us to be truly present and gave our young chefs the space to express themselves, experiment, and have fun.
Because sometimes, the best days aren't the ones filled with photos, but the ones filled with smiles, aromas, conversation, and moments to cherish in our hearts.
In the end, we may not have gathered many mushrooms, but the real harvest of the day was far more precious.
