📣 Call for Sculptors – Applications Open!

The City of Differdange is proud to launch the call for projects for the 11th International Sculpture Symposium, taking place from 26 May to 6 June 2027 in Differdange.

👉 Theme of this edition: “Racines – Roots”

With this theme, we invite artists to explore the idea of roots in all its dimensions — identity, origin, memory, stability and transformation.

“Roots” reflects the multicultural richness of our city, its strong historical connection to the steel industry, and its constant evolution through time.

We are looking for powerful, thoughtful, and original stone sculptures that engage with this theme and resonate with today’s world.

🪨 The material for the 2027 edition will be stone.
👥 Six sculptors will be selected by an international jury.
📅 Symposium dates: 26 May – 6 June 2027
⏳ Application deadline: 5 June 2026

🇫🇷 Ce dimanche, nous vous présentons les projets des deux derniers artistes en résidence : Roland Höft et Cristina Rommel.

📍 Remise des prix aujourd’hui (dimanche 1er juin) à 18h au parc de la Chiers à Fousbann.
Tout le monde est convié à cet événement de clôture de la 10e édition du Symposium international de sculpture.
Venez rencontrer les artistes et échanger avec eux autour d’un vin d’honneur offert par la Ville de Differdange.

🇬🇧 This Sunday, we’re presenting the projects of the last two artists in residence: Roland Höft and Cristina Rommel.

📍 Award ceremony today (Sunday, June 1st) at 6:00 PM at the Parc de la Chiers in Fousbann.
Everyone is welcome to this closing event of the 10th edition of the International Sculpture Symposium.
Come meet the artists and share a friendly drink offered by the City of Differdange.

Aujourd'hui, Claudia Zanaga et Giuseppe Colangelo Scultore prennent le temps de vous parler de leur travail et de leur projet.

Vous pouvez les rencontrer sur place, voir comment leurs pièces évoluent, et en apprendre un peu plus sur leur approche.

Depuis mercredi, six artistes travaillent la pierre bleue de Belgique au parc de la Chiers à Fousbann. On vous partage ici une première vidéo d’ambiance, où vous pourrez faire connaissance avec les artistes et découvrir leurs projets.

Ils seront là jusqu’au 1er juin inclus, en plein air, à sculpter chaque jour.
Passez les voir, échangez avec eux, suivez l’évolution de leur travail. C’est une belle occasion de découvrir les coulisses de la création, tranquillement, au fil des jours.
