Lietuvos ir Kinijos verslo taryba / LT-CN business council Lithuania-China Business Council aims to actively contribute to the building of trade and business relations between Lithuania and China.

Lithuania-China Business Council under the uspices of the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists (LCI) is one of the main institutions contributing to strengthening Lithuanian-Chinese business relations. The Council aims to actively contribute to both the building of trade relations between Lithuania and China and the promotion of China's investment in Lithuania. The establishment of the Counc

il and its further activities are coordinated with the Government of the Republic of Lithuania and the Embassy of People's Republic of China in Republic of Lithuania. Goals:

Establish and maintain the beneficial business contacts for the Council and its members. Provide members with the contacts for cooperation with business leaders, governmental officials and experts. Provide the latest information and experiences on the business opportunities in China, as well as investment attraction from China to Lithuania. Maintain close ties with the government of the Republic of Lithuania, as well as Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in the People’s Republic of China and the Embassy of People’s Republic of China in the Republic of Lithuania. Strongly contribute to promoting Lithuanian-Chinese business relations. Organize business missions to China, conduct workshops with expert advice, organize thematic seminars on social, cultural and economic features of the development of business with China, organize B2B meetings between Lithuanian and Chinese enterprises. Why to become a member? Lithuanian business needs to expand into new, high growth potential markets significantly increased in recent years. China is considered as one of the main possible markets for the new business development. Based on survey data of Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists in 2014 nearly every fifth (18.7 percent) of the 150 largest manufacturers in Lithuania intends to expand into China. For its market size, trends logistics, infrastructure, favorable growth dynamics, growing consumer base China is becoming an attractive location for Lithuanian enterprises. Lithuanian business sectors that has major export potential in the Chinese market are as follows:

Organic and natural food products;
Unique design products (eg., furniture, clothing);
High-tech products;
Wood raw materials. China's largest investment potentials in Lithuania are recorded in these following segments:

extraction of natural resources;
Large-scale public / private infrastructure projects;
Investments in operating companies (creation of joint ventures, acquisition of existing companies, acquisition of companies with well-known brands)
Investments in the development of exports (setting up new companies and production lines, increasing the existing production capacity) to China and other regions. Lithuania-China Business Council is one of the main institutions in Lithuania whose main goal is promoting Lithuanian-Chinese economic relations.
