Baltlanta is inviting all vessels to sound their horns on International Worker's Day on 1 May 2020 12:00 LT as a gesture of solidarity to seafarers.
Stand in solidarity with the world’s seafarers and send us your video!
The International Chamber of Shipping (ICS) and the ITF are calling on all seafarers across the world to sound their ships’ horns as a gesture of solidarity to recognise over 1.6 million seafarers globally. These unsung heroes of the global trade are keeping countries supplied with food, fuel and critical supplies such as vital medical equipment not only through the Covid-19 pandemic, but every day.
At 12.00 local time on International Workers’ Day on 1 May 2020, we would like you to film yourselves while the horn is sounding (identify your ship to us if you would like) and then send the files to the ITF where we will produce a video of as many of you as we can.
Before engaging in blowing the horns, ships should ensure that appropriate clearance is sought where required.
