Since its beginning in 2016, tuktukrental.com has partnered with numerous tuktuk owners across Sri Lanka and Cambodia. We are proud to share that 85% of the tuktuk owners collaborating with us to promote a unique traveling experience have reported a significant improvement in their economic living standards.

We will always stay true to our mission and vision while improving and uplifting our supportive stakeholders standing strong and proud to be a community based business. Thanks to our amazing suppliers we get to keep going for the longest time.

We have suppliers coming in from all around Sri Lanka covering all provinces from north to south and east to west! Our suppliers are an interwoven web of different ages, cultures and religions, each tuktuk has their own story with their supplier.

On the World Rabies Day We Care Animal Welfare Society in Sri Lanka took the lead on attempting to vaccinate 1000 furry friends for rabies vaccination program . They were working for this amazing cause the past weekend. They started with the initial stage of training all the volunteers. On Sunday they started their quest looking for street and owned animals to vaccinate against rabies. They took care to make sure to check for microchips to identify previously vaccinated and made sure to implant microchips to the animals who didn’t have any plus they treated our community animals vaccinating 472 dogs against distemper on top of vaccinating 814 dogs against rabies.

Recently, our tuktukrental.com Cambodia team had the privilege of visiting the Apopo Center in Siem Reap. This incredible center saves lives through the use of scent-detection animals, primarily rats, trained to detect landmines and other explosives in post-conflict areas. The work being done at Apopo not only enhances community safety but also helps clear paths for development, farming, and rebuilding lives.

By expanding our team’s knowledge of organizations like Apopo, we aim to connect them with travelers, helping them understand the local impact and social enterprises making a difference in Cambodia. It’s an important reminder that when we support sustainable tourism, we also highlight local heroes driving real change, like Apopo.
