We are delighted to inform you that Conrad Dias has been awarded with the CSSL CIO of the Year 2016. He is a Fellow Member of Chartered Management Accountants UK (FCMA), Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA -USA), He is also a Fellow Certified Management Accountant of Sri Lanka and Australia (FCMA), and Fellow of British Computer Society. He holds a MBA from University of Leicester.
His experience spans over 2 decades and seasoned veteran in Business and Information Technology, Software Engineering, Project Management, Strategic and Investment Planning, Finance Management, Corporate Restructuring and Unit Trust & Fund Management. Possesses domain expertise in sectors such as Trading, Banking and Finance, Asset Management and Manufacturing.
He joined LOLC group in 2006 as the CIO for the Group that was then focusing on leasing and financial services. He led the ICT function of the group from that day to present where LOLC Group鈥檚 strategic turnaround from a leasing and finance company to Sri Lanka鈥檚 largest asset backed conglomerate. Today LOLC Group has over 120 subsidiaries and associates and moved from financial services to many others sectors including trading, plantation, hospitality, healthcare and manufacturing.
He has led the ICT function with successfully integrating all ICT functions of the acquisitions and strategically leading ICT direction of all sectors. As such he was instrumental in envisioning the ICT for the group with its growth plans and acquisition and laid the foundations on timely manner by investing in technologies and introducing and implementing required processes.
Having laid the early foundations and with his continuous envisioning of ICT for business he led many projects during the year which created many firsts in the sectors as well as strategically leading the organisations digital transformations earned the CSSL CIO of the Year Award 2016.
His business focus ICT strategy ex*****on not only deliver just technology projects but driving business value to all businesses in LOLC Group. As such most of the group wide initiatives enables underline organisations leverage on the state of the art technology investment at fraction of cost and realise high business values and ROI. Some initiatives have saved millions of rupees per year to the group while help managing ICT at a fraction of cost and lessor staff. With humble beginnings of 16 locations and less than 200 computers today he is responsible for over 250 locations nearly 5000 network computers and multiple data centers and systems.
