✨ Advancing Women in Aviation in the Cayman Islands

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Cayman Islands (CAACI) was proud to host its inaugural Women in Aviation Cayman gathering, bringing together professionals from across the local aviation sector in recognition of International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month.
Aligned with this year’s theme, “Give to Gain,” the event created a space for meaningful connection, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration among women across the industry — including representatives from regulatory bodies, operators, and aviation service providers.
This initiative reflects CAACI’s ongoing commitment to mentorship, professional development, and strengthening the future of aviation in the Cayman Islands.
“The inaugural gathering represents the beginning of an ongoing effort to create opportunities for women in aviation across the Cayman Islands. By building a strong, supportive community, we aim to ensure that the sector remains progressive, resilient, and inclusive for years to come.”
— Nicoela McCoy, Deputy Director-General, Economic Regulation & Administration " We look forward to continuing this initiative through future events, mentorship opportunities, and outreach programmes that inspire the next generation of aviation professionals."

On International Women’s Day, and in recognition of this year’s theme, “Give to Gain,” the Civil Aviation Authority of the Cayman Islands (CAACI) reaffirms its commitment to mentorship, professional development, and community engagement.

“At CAACI, we recognize that excellence in aviation is built through investment in people. By mentoring, coaching, and creating pathways for advancement, we empower women — and all employees — to achieve their personal best and contribute meaningfully to the safety and success of our aviation sector.
Equally, our responsibility extends beyond our organization. By giving back to our Cayman community through outreach, charitable initiatives, as well as engagement with young people considering careers in aviation, we invest in the next generation of leaders, innovators, and aviation professionals. When we give our time, knowledge, and leadership to others, we strengthen our organization, our industry, and our community. In giving forward, we all gain.
Today, we celebrate the women of CAACI and across our aviation sector whose professionalism, integrity, and dedication continue to elevate our industry. Together, by giving forward, we ensure that the future of aviation in the Cayman Islands remains safe, progressive, and inclusive.” — Nicoela McCoy
