Boxes, wood crates, pallets, full containers, all need to be moved via a truck to either Incheon or Busan port.

We have had requests to ship out of other ports, but as you know, the major two hubs in South Korea are Incheon and Busan port. If you have been there, there are hundreds of containers waiting to be laden on a vessel to leave Korea to transit overseas.

We use all sizes and types of truck from 1.5 tons trucks to wing-body larger trucks. In the photos, here are a few photos of the larger trucks that can hold larger amounts of volume and boxes of household goods.

Shipping boxes in all shapes and dimensions. Here is an expensive canvas artwork and a mirror that was recently shipped via air cargo.

Previous clients have asked us, if they can ship artwork, mirrors, and other odd shaped art pieces. Sure, as long as we can make a rectangular or even a trapezoidal shaped box out of carton material slabs, it is possible.

The silver material is called toil-on and it is a protective layer wrapped around before it goes inside the custom-made carton box. It is thicker than bubble wrap and acts as a protectant for fragile items.

As you can see in the photos, another great job done on the final packaging and taping of each box from South Korea to overseas.

Can we make a wooden box for certain items and/or destinations?

Yes, we can create a custom-made wood box or a wooden crate from scratch (this is a 3rd party service) as shown in the photos.

We had a client recently who had to send their boxes of household goods inside two wooden boxes since everything did not fit inside one wooden box due to the limitation of the container size (height x width x length) and one box cannot exceed a certain dimension due to its weight and size on a lift-van.
For a not a common destination or certain countries (rare cases), instead of a pallet or a groupage container, a wooden box is sometimes necessary or mandatory to be shipped from South Korea.

Labeling each box in many ways. Well, that is up to the client, but usually, writing on the box the general content like clothes, kitchenware, shoes, and miscellaneous is helpful to create the inventory list. We always recommend labelling/writing on each box with a box number and initials or first/last name on each box.
Once all of the boxes are completed and packaged, we would stack them up on a pallet not exceeding the height of the internal container, which is usually around 5.9 meters in height, leaving a little space on top just in case.
We also wanted to share a client’s way of putting the inventory list on a piece of paper and attaching each document/paper on individual boxes as shown in the photos. This is another way to label each box, the only con is if the paper is not attached properly, it can fall off or easily detach itself from the box. We would suggest taping the document/paper with tape on all sides if possible.

Finally, the boxes are loaded, wrapped and banded on pallets. They are now ready to leave our preparation site and warehouse via the Wing-body truck off to Busan or Incheon port awaiting the next vessel at the container yard.

We deal with furniture of all kinds, especially ottomans, sofas and couches that are of different dimension and sizes.

We can package all types of sofas/couches from L-shaped to a 3 or 4 seater sofas.

Here is a pink 3 seater sofa that was packaged from the beginning process until the final irregular shaped custom-made carton box that was created from scratch to fit the sofa snug and perfectly inside the carton box.

As always, we appreciate the hard work and diligence from our packing staff and crew. Another job well done to get the shipment out of Korea.

Here are some photos, from beginning until the end process of packing a PC monitor or a small TV inside a box. Keep in mind that bubble wrap is not enough sometimes if you don't have the original box for a PC monitor or a TV.

We make sure to wrap the monitor individually 3 or 4 times to protect each corner and the TV or PC monitor screen.

Next, extra padding material inside the box to add more protection inside the box.

Lastly, more bubble wrap is added on each side of the internal box to protect the item(s).

Finally, we cannot forget to add the "fragile" stickers on the outside exterior side. Usually, we ask our partner(s) to add at least 2-3 stickers on the outside, so it is visible from every angle.

Here are several accounts of boxes stacked and ready to depart from our warehouse.

A common question is, "Can all of my boxes fit inside the shared container?"

Usually, a 20 or a 40 ft container is about 2.3 meters in height and 2.3 meters in width.

The 20 ft container is about 5.9 meters in length and the 40 ft container is about 12 meters long (internal length).

A common question, our clients will ask is about vessel/boat shipments, "Is it based on weight or volume"?

In most cases, the answer is for a vessel shipment in a full or shared container, it is determined by the final volume or space.

A shipment's volume is based on the metric volume of a Cubic meter, not to be confused with a square meter.

Sometimes, clients will measure each box (net volume) and then conclude/assume the final volume, but we have to base it on the whole container and space (the gross volume of all boxes).

A 1 x 20 ft container usually can fit about 2,700 - 2,800 kg (6,000 lbs) or about 27 - 28 Cubic meters worth of household goods. Depending on the destination and availability, a 1 x 40 ft container will hold about 5,600 - 5,700 kg (12,300 lbs) or 55 - 56 Cubic meters worth of household goods.

Un-wrapping a pallet that was held in a non-adhesive waterproof vinyl sheet and plastic pallet bands to hold the pallet in place and deter it from any movement during transit.

We had the pleasure of shipping yet another account to Europe and each individual shipment is placed on the usual pallet with vinyl sheet, and yellow pallet bands to station or hold each shipment as shown in the photo.

Some companies will charge this service separately, but we add it as part of the full package when the pallet procedure is done before the shipment departs out of Korea.

We had the pleasure to ship another Harley Davidson Road King motorcycle from South Korea to the United States.

- Pre-requisite:

Before an International standard wood box is made for the bike, we have to make certain that the fuel tank is drained and the battery is disconnected in most cases.

- Wood box:

Our professional handler and wood crating service provider will take special attention to make sure that the bike is blocked and braced as shown in the photos.

- Paperwork/Importation Approval:

All deregistration documents need to be prepared in advance and there are a lot of paperwork involved in order to ship a vehicle/motorcycles/scooter from South Korea to abroad.

In most cases, there are strict importation guidelines, so it is imperative to check if the vehicle/motorcycle is allowed to be shipped to the destination and if the engine specification, fuel tank and fuel type, emission tests, EPA, and other regulations meet the country's import rules.
