CARDBOARD COLLECTOR OF KOREA

In South Korea, many elderly people collect cardboard and other recyclables to make ends meet:
Prevalence:
In 2019, 1 in 100 seniors over 65 in South Korea collected cardboard for a living.
Reasons:
Many of these people have seen their businesses fail, and the basic pension they receive is not enough to live on.
Items collected:
In addition to cardboard, people collect plastic, boxes, newspapers, books, electrical appliances, and wooden furniture.
Income:
Waste paper costs about 40 won per kilogram, and a full handcart can contain around 200 kilograms of paper.
Visibility:
Elderly cardboard collectors are a common sight on Korean streets, but they are often neglected and left behind.

A group of students at Seoul National University founded a social venture called “Cclim” to support the needs of elderly cardboard collectors.

Jangnal (장날)
Korea Market Day

Ang Jangnal nangangahulungang Market Day. Karaniwan nang merong jangnal sa tuwing ika 3 at ika 8 ng buwan (3rd,8th,13th,23rd,28th).

Kapag jangnal maraming mga farmers ang nagtitinda ng mga produce nila.

Makakabili ka ng sariwang mga gulay prutas at seafood kapag jangnal.At mabibili ang mga paninda sa napakamurang halaga.

Bukod sa mga Agriculture products at seafood. Marami ding mga snacks at iba ibang mga traditional korean foods na mabibili sa jangnal. Tulad ng (jjukpal (boiled pork), Fish cakes, Fried Chicken,Rice cakes, etc)

Bawat city sa Korea ay merong jangnal.Dito sa Paengseong ang jangnal ay sa tuwing ika 3 at 8 ng buwan.

Bakit hindi subukang alamimnang araw ng jangnal.sa inyong lugar at maexoerience ang traditional na pamilihan sa.korea.

Korea Administrative Adress system

Ang mga address sa South Korea ay ginagamit upang tukuyin ang mga partikular na lokasyon sa loob ng bansa. Pinalitan ng South Korea ang land lot-based address system nito ng isa batay sa mga pangalan ng kalye. Ang pagpapalit ng address system ay para mas madaling mahanap ng mga dayuhan.o foreigner at maging ng mga Koreano ang kanilang mga destinasyon.

Ang mga kalye sa Korea ay may mga pangalan na karaniwang nagtatapos sa -daero (대로, o -gil (길,St.) Ang ilang mga kalye, pangunahin -daero at -ro, ay maaaring ipangalan sa isang tampok sa lugar tulad ng Daehak-ro (대학로, University Street) malapit sa isang unibersidad, o pagkatapos ng isang neighborhood o(dong) gaya ng Hyehwa-ro (혜화로, Hyehwa Street) na nasa Hyehwa-dong.

HOTTEOK: Famous Korean winter snacks.

Ang Hotteok (Korean: 호떡, binibigkas na [ho.t͈ʌk̚]), kung minsan ay tinatawag na hoeddeok, ay isang uri ng filled pancake na kilala bilang isang popular na street food sa South Korea partikular na.tuwing winter.

Nagmula ito sa Tsina, at unang dinala sa Korea noong ika-19 na siglo. Ang hotteok ay nagmula sa tang bing (nangangahulugang "matamis na pancake" sa Chinese).
