I live in Siem Reap (the town close to the Angkor temples – and probably the town you will be staying in for your visit). And I speak good English (and Cambodian, of course).I started learning English. Learning the languages was essential for my work as a car driver in Siem Reap. Now I can speak good basic English. I can communicate very well with tourists in English. Siem literally means Thai, and Reap is ”Defeating”. Siem Reap means defeating Thais.
