Thailand reportedly arrange long queue for travelers at the airports, making people to wait long hours.
Passengers may choose to pay extra money to skip queue.
This move is obviously an act of scamming passengers through international gates apart from other scamming activities inside the country.

Thailand Blocks Land Border Talks Over Cambodia’s UNCLOS Initiative on Overlapping Maritime Claims

Thailand has blocked the resumption of land border discussions with Cambodia following Cambodia’s decision to pursue the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) process regarding overlapping maritime claims, according to statements by the Thai Foreign Minister.

The Thai side has linked the progress of land border talks with Cambodia’s position on the maritime dispute, effectively making the continuation of border discussions conditional on Cambodia’s approach to the UNCLOS mechanism. Thailand’s move has prevented further dialogue on outstanding land border issues between the two neighboring countries, especially the Cambodia's border areas currently occupied by Thailand since the ceasefire agreement of 27 December 2025

Cambodia has maintained that pursuing the UNCLOS process is a legitimate legal avenue to address overlapping maritime claims in accordance with international law. The process concerns maritime boundaries and does not alter or affect Cambodia’s commitment to resolving land border matters through existing bilateral mechanisms.

Thailand Warns Heat Index Could Hit 60°C in Early April

BANGKOK, March 31, 2026 — Thailand is bracing for extreme heat conditions, with the country’s meteorological authorities warning that the heat index could surge to as high as 60°C in early April, posing serious health risks.

According to the Thai Meteorological Department, the figure does not reflect actual air temperature but rather the “feels-like” temperature, calculated by combining heat and humidity — indicating dangerously intense conditions for the human body.

Officials said people outdoors may experience heat levels equivalent to 60°C, marking one of the most severe heat waves in recent years.

Experts warned that the extreme conditions could pose significant risks to vulnerable groups, including the elderly, children, pregnant women, individuals with chronic illnesses, and outdoor workers.

Authorities have urged the public to closely monitor weather updates, avoid outdoor activities during peak heat hours, stay well hydrated, and limit alcohol or sugary drinks. Residents are also advised to wear light, breathable clothing and use proper sun protection.

The warning comes as Southeast Asia faces rising temperatures linked to seasonal heat patterns and broader climate pressures, raising concerns over public health and infrastructure resilience.

Pattaya Faces Rising Concerns Over Tourist Scams

PATTAYA, March 30, 2026 — A Finnish tourist has reported being drugged and robbed by two women in Pattaya, highlighting ongoing concerns over scams and crime targeting visitors in the popular resort city.

Police said the 30-year-old man filed a complaint early Sunday after he alleged that two women he met at a bar spiked his drink, causing him to lose consciousness before stealing cash and a luxury watch from his hotel room.

The victim told investigators he had invited the women back to his accommodation in the Jomtien area, where he later became unusually drowsy and passed out. When he woke, about 5,000 baht in cash and a Rolex watch worth around 700,000 baht ($19,000) were missing.

Authorities have launched an investigation, reviewing CCTV footage from the hotel and nearby areas to identify the suspects.

The case adds to growing concerns over daily scams and petty crime in Pattaya, where tourists have reported incidents involving drink spiking, theft and fraud.

Officials have urged visitors to remain cautious, particularly when socialising with strangers, as police continue efforts to address safety issues in the city.
