On this day at Bahari I Plaza along Diani Beach road, I had the honour of meeting the one and only Ras Bhingi — Kenya's most loved reggae enthusiast, a man whose spirit is taller than any height.

He came waving his flag with that big smile, in his signature camouflage and rasta hat, and in that moment I understood why Kenyans love him. He doesn't just entertain - he advocates for peace and unity among the youth.

For me as CEO of Diani Beach Tuktuk Tours and Adventures, this was special. Bhingi once told TUKO that what he needed most was not just a house, but a stable job to support himself independently. And he has worked as a brand ambassador for a tuktuk company before, selling tuktuks and spreading love.

So I carried him on my shoulder - not because he is small, but because his message is BIG. At Diani Beach Tuktuk Tours, we believe tourism is not just about tours, it's about lifting people, giving platforms, and driving change together.
