*✅The NTSA* has come up with a list of minor traffic offences and the fines they attract in a bid to maintain sanity on the roads. NTSA has also announced that they intend to install new gadgets that will back-track speeds for about 3 days. The gadget will also be able to detect faulty speed governors.
Here are some of the minor offenses that will attract fines from motorists as released by NTSA:
*1*. Failure to conform to traffic signs- Sh3,000
*2*.Driving vehicle without identification plates- Sh10,000
*3*.Failing to stop when flagged down by a police officer in uniform- Sh5,000
*4.* Failing to follow directions of a police officer in uniform- Sh3,000
*5.*Not having a reflective/warning sign in the vehicle- Sh2,000
*6.*Failing to review driving licence- Sh1,000
*7.* Driving a public service vehicle while unqualified- Sh7,000
*8.*Motorists found exceeding speed limits- between Sh500 and Sh25,000 depending on the speed exceeding limit
*9.* Traveling with part of the body outside the moving vehicle- Sh1,000
*10*. Failing to fit the prescribed speed- Sh10,000
*11.* Not having seat belts in clean, dry, wearable condition- Sh2,000
*12*. Driving on or through a pedestrian walkway or pavement- Sh5,000
*13*. Driving vehicle on a footpath- Sh5,000
*14*. Causing obstruction or having vehicle in a way that inconvenience other traffic- Sh10,000
*15.* Using a mobile phone while driving- Sh2, 000
