Day 6 - 214.9km

A big drive out west today, but not before spending 30min stuck in a river bed trying to get a 200kg bike out of the sand. The Wamba - Kisima road is endless and beautiful, traversing through Samburu heartlands and crossing over into Liakipia. Plenty of stunning sights to see, with fast flowing riding conditions. One of the best riding days of the trip so far. Epic valleys near Kisima and the views of the Ewaso Nyrio are unrivalled.

Day 5 - 96.7km

A tough day today. Soaring temperatures and tough riding through bad roads. Circled round south of Namuyak conservancy and joined the main road to Wamba but not before a couple of tough lugga crossings and losing the road once or twice. Made it Wamba by mid morning, got some liquids on board before heading further north toward the Kitich valley. There must be 10+ river crossings on the Kitich Road, all more beautiful than the last, with the final one being the most challenging. Made it to camp mid afternoon before taking a hike with the local rangers.
