KTA (EAHCV) in partnership with Northstar Alliance will be conducting a nine day drivers’ training at The East Africa Heavy Commercial Driver Development Institute located at Car and General Complex Building, Mbaraki Road on the following days 27th to 30th April and 4th to 8th May, 2015.
A complete training session will run for two (2) day from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The total fees payable is KSH. 3,750 per participant (Please note that this fee has been subsidized/discounted by 50% for the first 100 drivers and the deadline for confirmation should be before or on Friday 24th April, 2015).

EAHCVDDI DEFENSIVE DRIVING TRAINING
Theoretical Training
· Introduction to Defensive Driving
· Benefits of Defensive Driving
· Major Causes of Collisions/Crashes and how to prevent them
· Keys to Safety
· driving attitude and behavior
· Emergency cases and how to manage them.
Practical Simulation Defensive Driving
· General Driving
· Predicting Behavior
· Accident Prevention
· Dividing and Focusing Attention
· Assessment and Certification
NORTHSTAR ALLIANCE TRAINING
Standard Topics
Balozi training shall be offered in modular form covering eight sessions of 30 minutes each. Each session will cover specific topical issues. Of particular interest will be HIV, STI, TB and malaria as the basic sessions. The sessions cover the following:
Module / Session 1: Balozi
Module / Session 2: Malaria
Module / Session 3: STIs
Module / Session 4: HIV and AIDs
At the end of each session participants will be;
· Able to identify signs and symptoms of various STIs, HIV, Malaria, TB.
· Know how the diseases are transmitted.
· Know how to avoid infections.
· Learn how to pass information to family, friends and peers.
· Be more willing to seek health services.
