The autumn colors have been at their peak since last week. Minoh shows a different expression with each season, and walking through the mix of trees—some vibrant, some still on their way—you can quietly feel the depth of autumn.

The season of autumn leaves is just around the corner,
and Fushimi Inari Shrine will soon be dressed in vibrant colors. 🍂
I can’t wait to watch the leaves gradually transform.

It’s the perfect time to hike and feel the season with all five senses —
the sound of rustling leaves, the scent of the forest, the cool breeze.
And of course, lunch after hiking always tastes even more rewarding. 🥢✨

🚴‍♀️ Cycling through Kyoto at this time of year is the best.
 The summer heat is finally fading, and the breeze along the Kamogawa River feels so refreshing.

We rode past Kyoto Imperial Palace and Heian Shrine, where the trees are still full of green 🍃
 But soon, these same spots will transform with the warm colors of autumn. 🍂

For now, it’s that in-between season—fresh, green, and just starting to hint at the beauty to come.

🍃Now, the heat of summer is finally starting to ease.
Day by day, we can feel autumn approaching. 🍂
The autumn leaves are still a little while away,
but this early autumn moment—filled with fresh air and green—
is just as precious to experience. ✨

The walk is simply gorgeous, I have no words to describe it. The forest is like a fairytale, honestly. Our tour guide Kenji was really amazing as well! He took us through a very scenic route, which most people wouldn't be able to fund by themselves. And of course the waterfall was simply majestic. Absolutely recommend it!
