普段はプライベートしかガイドしない私が30人の大人数でもお受けする唯一の旅行会社、Jensen & MacKay Travel の皆さまと過ごした3月の旅🇺🇸🦌✨🌸

行程に必ず広島が含まれているから、こちらの会社のゲストは皆さん本当に思慮深くてオープンマインド！　
今回もバスの中でも質問が絶えず、まるで一つの大きな「ファミリー」のような一体感に包まれました🚌🏠

​京都と奈良の案内人として⛩️🦌古都の魅力をお伝えしました。
皆さんのキラキラした瞳と好奇心で日本の歴史を見つめる姿に、私自身もたくさんの感動をいただきました。
50年前、日本に住んでいたというお客様も2人ほどいて日本語も覚えてらして、嬉しかったです。

​While I usually focus on private tours, this is the only travel company for which I welcome large groups of 30. And every time, it’s such a rewarding experience!
​Since their itinerary always includes Hiroshima, the guests from this company are incredibly thoughtful and open-minded. The energy on our bus was amazing—filled with non-stop questions and a wonderful sense of unity, just like one big "family" 🚌🏠

A Sacred Start to 2026: The Midnight Great Buddha 🌕
​Happy New Year! I experienced a truly spiritual New Year's pilgrimage at Todai-ji Temple.
​Only three times a year, the central "window" of the Great Buddha Hall is opened, allowing us to see the Buddha’s face from outside under the moonlight. It was a breathtaking sight. ✨🙏
​Cycling from my family home at 2 AM, I found the "Mirror Pond" so still it perfectly reflected the hall. The 1,250-year-old National Treasure, the Octagonal Bronze Lantern, was lit up, creating a solemn and beautiful atmosphere. 🕯️🌙
​Having grown up under the Buddha’s gaze, my prayer remains the same: world peace and harmony for all living things. 🕊️🌿
​2026 is the Year of the Fire Horse (Hinoe-Uma)—a rare year occurring every 60 years, symbolizing intense energy and renewal. 🐎🔥 May this year bring vibrant life to all.

聖なる新年の幕開け：東大寺・大仏殿の「観相窓」より ✨
​あけましておめでとうございます。🎍
2026年の幕開け、私は大晦日の深夜に東大寺へ参拝してまいりました。⛩️
​深夜0時から元旦の8時まで、大仏殿では通常閉じられている正面の「観相窓（かんそうまど）」が開かれます。ライトアップされた大仏様のお顔を外から拝むことができる、年に数回しかない極めて貴重な機会です。🙏
​深夜2時、実家から自転車を走らせ向かった境内。風ひとつない「鏡池」には、光り輝く大仏殿が完璧に映り込んでいました。闇の中に浮かび上がるのは、1250年以上もの間、祈りの火を灯し続けてきた国宝「金銅八角燈籠」。その荘厳な佇まいに、背筋が伸びる思いでした。🕯️✨
​奈良で育った私にとって、大仏様はいつも寄り添ってくださる存在です。ガイドとしてお客様をご案内する今も、祈ることはただ一つ。「国家安泰」と「世界平和」です。🌏💫
​2026年は丙午（ひのえうま）。60年に一度巡ってくる、強烈なエネルギーと刷新の年です。🐎🔥
すべての命が共に輝き、栄えゆく世界になりますように。

Welcoming an amazing group of 17 yoga students from California, guided by their inspiring teacher who joined my Kurama tour last year! 🧘‍♀️🌿
After their incredible journey in Yakushima, they’re now experiencing the serene energy of Kurama. It’s a joy to share this sacred mountain and its magical forest with such a vibrant and mindful group. 💛

Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter in Okayama preferecture is a beautifully preserved area that showcases Japan’s traditional townscape from the Edo period.
Lined with white-walled storehouses, willow-lined canals, and classic merchant homes, it offers a nostalgic atmosphere where history and culture blend seamlessly. Visitors can enjoy local museums, craft shops, and cafés housed in historical buildings.

岡山の倉敷美観地区は、江戸時代の日本の伝統的な町並みを美しく保存しているエリアです。
白壁の蔵屋敷や柳の並木、昔ながらの商家が立ち並び、歴史と文化が調和した懐かしい雰囲気が漂います。観光客は、歴史的な建物を活かした美術館や工芸店、カフェなどを楽しむことができます。

お客様は、ご自分用の足袋シューズ、すみっコぐらしのぬいぐるみのお土産をゲットされました。🤗💞

9時に根本大塔の前の大きな鐘が突かれる様子が
独特でした。

The Konpon Daito Pagoda was illuminated, creating a magical atmosphere.
At 9 PM, the large bell in front of the pagoda was struck — a unique and memorable moment.
