entually became the most important place for bike manufacturing especially when people around the world started using bikes more recreationally. Times are different now.Manufacturing centers are found in other countries while companies in Japan receive their ideas and products massively without any hesitation. Has the Japanese bicycle industry lost not only their production power but imagination as well? We’ve realized that the reason is based on a lack of understanding through consumption. A radically different market can be seen here in Japan if we tap into our roots: make products by our own hands, increase lines on communication, and use the knowledge that we do have. Simworks has begun taking action to change the system against the trend of mass production. Our goal is to give our clients the highest quality of product and in the end life! We think it is necessary in order to guide the next generation. This is what we stand for and this is our passion we’d like to share with you.

Japan has entered the rainy season, when we start to see the SimWorks by HONJO mudguards and fenders really go to work. Since each one is handmade and polished individually, it’s always difficult to keep them fully in stock — but a few models have just been restocked, along with various mounting accessories.

“How do I install them?”
That’s exactly where a mechanic’s skill and sense truly shine. We have deep respect for every fender‑equipped bike — and every rider — who chooses to keep riding even in the rain.

梅雨入りで働き出すのがSimWorks by HONJOの泥除け/フェンダー達。ひとつずつハンドメイドで磨き上げられるためなかなか在庫が揃いませんが、いくつか再入荷した他、取り付け小物系も入ってきてます。
どうやって取り付けるか？というのも、メカニックの腕とセンスの見せどころ。雨でも乗る全てのフェンダー付きバイクをリスペクトしています。

Happy International Women's MTB Day! 🌲🚲
Earlier this month, we had the honor of supporting the NW Trail Sisters ( ) for their International Women's MTB Day event at the Sandy Ridge Trail System.

When they asked if SimWorks USA could support the event, we knew exactly what to bring: food! 🍛 Instead of a traditional sponsorship, our own Rie spent three late nights preparing 70 servings of homemade Japanese Curry (Chicken & Vegan) to fuel these amazing riders and trail builders. For many, it was their first time trying Japanese curry, and seeing all the smiles made every shredded carrot and apple completely worth it!

The NW Trail Sisters have created such a welcoming and empowering space. As Nancy Stone beautifully reminded everyone before the ride: "Support People Who Support You." It takes an entire ecosystem of love—trail builders, organizers, and riders—to maintain the beautiful places we enjoy.

Thank you to everyone who came out to ride, dig, and share a meal with us. We are so proud to be part of this beautiful community.

毎年5月の第1土曜日に行われる、「International Women's MTB Day」は「女性たちがマウンテンバイクを楽しみ、つながり、お祝いする日」です。Sandy Ridgeで開催されたNW Trail Sisters主催のイベントに、SimWorks USAもサポートとして参加させていただきました！

今回私たちが提供したのは…70食分の手作り「日本のカレーライス」🍛！

資金サポートではなく、ライダーやトレイルビルダーのみんなに美味しいランチでお腹を満たしてほしいという思いから、3日間の夜なべして、チキンとヴィーガンの2種類のカレーを仕込みました。アメリカではまだ馴染みの薄い日本のカレーですが、「ライドより楽しみにしてた！」「すごく美味しい！」とたくさんの笑顔をもらえて、本当に胸がいっぱいになる一日でした😭✨

女性だけのコミュニティだからこその安心感と、自然体でいられる素晴らしい空間。ライド前の「Support People Who Support You（あなたをサポートしてくれる人を、サポートしよう）」という言葉の通り、トレイルへの愛と人への思いやりが循環する美しいエコシステムに、SimWorksとして関われたことを心から嬉しく思います。

[NEW] Doppo High Plains Drifter v.2

It’s been four years since we first released the Doppo High Plains Drifter (HPD). That initial small batch of U.S.-made “klunker”-style frames made a strong impression and helped shape the current movement toward unique, versatile, heritage‑inspired bicycle designs.

HPD doesn’t have a performance proposition to offer you. It’s not tapping in to some new-school idea on how a modern bike should handle. While it’s leaning in to some design elements from some older generation bikes- albeit as a tip of our cap, it’s not a reproduction. We aren’t wanting to position it or market it as a nostalgia piece for a segment of riders who grew up riding early mountain bikes. 

SimWorks’ mission with it was to inspire both new and familiar riding experiences, and to offer a unique vehicle that brings a fresh perspective to your riding style, while perhaps renewing the excitement of routes you may have ridden countless times before.

Production in the U.S. is now complete, and deliveries to pre‑order customers have begun. A small number of stock frames will also be available, so please contact , , or for availability.

最初にDoppo High Plains Drifter（HPD）モデルをリリースしてからもう4年。アメリカ製の“クランカー”スタイルのフレームは、ユニークで多用途、そしてヘリテージに着想を得た現在のバイクスタイルの潮流に大きなインパクトを与えました。

HPD は「性能」を売りにしているわけではなく、現代のバイクのあり方に新しい理論に寄せているわけでもありません。古い世代のバイクから着想を得ていますが、復刻モデルや懐古アイテムではありません。

SimWorks が目指したのは、新しい体験と馴染みある体験の両方を呼び起こし、あなたのライディングスタイルに新しい視点をもたらすユニークな乗り物をつくること。何度も走ったことのあるルートでさえ、もう一度ワクワクできるような感覚を取り戻すことです。

The Volummy series — our wide slick tires, true to their name — is back in stock.
There was a time when people believed that the narrower the tire, the faster it was. But science has since shown that isn’t necessarily true, and with the spread of disc brakes, even road bikes now commonly run much wider tires.

Still, at SimWorks, where we value fun over pure speed, we put puncture resistance first. A flat tire is never fun. These tires are a bit heavier, but we want riders who prioritize reliability on long rides to choose them — that dependable feel is exactly what they’re made for.
