So thankful to have been chaperoning an trip for the last 10 days!

Lisbon, Portugal 🇵🇹: A city of vibrant, bustling neighbourhoods full of charm and character. Expect hills, cobblestone streets, and endless exploring. What looks far on a map, is often surprisingly close, with narrow streets and hidden pathways connecting everything.

Accommodations are typically boutique hotels and Airbnbs tucked into the historic areas, while larger hotels (especially those with pools, perfect for the hot summer months) are found just outside the city centre, often still only a 10-minute walk to be right in the heart of it all.

Lisbon is known for its incredible food, rich culture, tasty Pastel De Nata’s, and layered history which is beautifully still preserved thanks to Portugal’s neutrality during WWII.

Highly recommend doing a tuk tuk tour early in your trip! It’s the best way to navigate the hills and get your bearings ✨

Finest Playa Mujeres – Cancun 🌴

Finest Playa Mujeres is an upper-end, family-friendly all-inclusive just north of Cancun, offering a polished experience while still being super comfortable for kids. It’s especially great for families with younger kids (up to around age 10), while still feeling elevated for adults.

It blends great food, spacious rooms, and beautiful grounds with a calm, easygoing atmosphere.

Highlights:
• Beautiful, wide beach with soft white sand
• Tons of pools so it never feels crowded
• Smaller water slides + bounce “blob” area for younger kids
• Nightly entertainment geared toward kids and families
• Limited daytime pool entertainment (quiet, relaxed vibe)
• Spacious, modern rooms (many with swim-outs or rooftop terraces)
• Amazing food (a big standout here)
• 24-hour room service
• Great spa + wellness options

The Excellence brand definitely has a bit of a cult following, and once you go, it’s easy to see why, especially when it comes to the food and overall service experience.

That said, I’d describe this as a very clean, well-kept, upper-end resort, but not true luxury. They’re currently undergoing some small renovations/refreshes, which will only improve things over time.

The vibe is relaxed and family-focused. Evenings are fun for kids, while the days stay calm and not overly busy, which a lot of clients specifically look for.

Booking note: This is not a typical package resort. I book these as separate flight + hotel stays, paired with high-end, door-to-door private transportation for a much smoother, more elevated travel experience.

A great option for families who want a higher-end resort experience (especially with younger kids), or couples who don’t mind a quieter, family-oriented property.

Is this your kind of resort? DM me and I’ll help you plan it ✈️🌴

Destination Spotlight: Kyoto, Japan

Kyoto is the Japan many travelers imagine before they even arrive. Ancient temples tucked into forested hills, lantern-lit streets in historic districts, and thousands of bright vermilion torii gates winding up mountain paths.

Once the imperial capital of Japan for more than a thousand years, Kyoto remains the cultural heart of the country. Visitors come for its famous landmarks, but what often leaves the biggest impression are the quieter moments between them - strolling stone streets in Gion, spotting a traditional teahouse, or hearing the distant bell of a temple.

Some of Kyoto’s most iconic sights include the golden pavilion of Kinkaku-ji, the hillside terraces of Kiyomizu-dera, and the endless red gates of Fushimi Inari Taisha.

Food lovers will also find plenty to explore, from street snacks at Nishiki Market to elegant multi-course kaiseki meals that highlight seasonal ingredients.

If Japan is on your travel wish list, your Go Travel Advisor can help you plan the right itinerary to experience both the famous highlights and the hidden corners that make this destination so special.

TRS Coral – Costa Mujeres 🌴

TRS Coral is the adults-only section of Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres, offering a quieter, more elevated experience while still giving guests access to the full resort. It’s a great upper mid-scale all-inclusive, a step above many standard resorts without the luxury price tag.

Highlights:
• Beautiful beach that’s typically low in seaweed
• Fantastic service with dedicated butlers
• Amazing room service
• Lively pool with daytime entertainment
• Nightly shows and entertainment
• Tennis & pickleball courts

The resort itself is huge, with multiple restaurants across both TRS and Grand Palladium that TRS guests can access. The adults-only restaurants are excellent, while the family-side dining is a bit more family oriented which shows in the food quality.

A great option for couples or friends who want a fun, lively resort with great service and lots to do, while still having an adults-only space to relax.

Is this your kind of resort? DM me and I’ll help you find the perfect one for your trip. ✈️🌴

Let’s face it, Tokyo hotel rooms are small, and it can feel nearly impossible to travel with a family of 4–8 without splitting into multiple rooms. This is where working with me really helps. I have a shortlist of well-located hotels that can accommodate up to 8 people in one room.

Because of limited availability, these rooms often book far in advance and can be on the pricier side, but they keep your family or group together, which is a huge win in Tokyo.

📍 Asakusa, Tokyo 🇯🇵

If you want to experience old-world Tokyo, Asakusa is the place to start. Home to Sensō-ji, Tokyo’s oldest Buddhist temple, this neighbourhood blends history, culture, and everyday local life in the best way.

Walk through Kaminarimon Gate, wander down Nakamise Street for traditional snacks and souvenirs, then take a quiet stroll along the Sumida River for one of the prettiest views in the city, especially with Tokyo Skytree in the background.

Asakusa feels slower, more traditional, and incredibly charming compared to Tokyo’s neon districts. It’s the perfect balance to places like Shibuya and Shinjuku, and a must-add to any first-time Japan itinerary.

✨ Tip: Visit early in the morning or in the evening for fewer crowds and a more peaceful temple experience.
