February Tour Highlights
I had a wonderful time guiding my recent guests in Japan.
First, I hosted Kobe PR Ambassadors for a Shioya tour. 🇯🇵
Next, a couple from Brisbane 🇦🇺 enjoyed Kobe beef and Kitano.
Then, I joined guests from the USA 🇺🇸 and Panama 🇵🇦 for Kyoto and Osaka.

At the Kobe City Museum of Literature.
"From Campus to the Front Lines:
Memories of the Student Draft"

The 1943 draft changed everything for students in Kobe. At one university, 78% were deployed, and 20% lost their lives.

A father wrote in his diary:
"Deeply grieved by the fleeting fate of my beloved son."
While newspapers cheered for the "Student Farewell Ceremonies," ordinary life continued with ads for the Mt. Rokko ropeway—a chilling contrast between daily life and the shadow of war.

Seeing these records, I felt that our duty to those who died—calling for their mothers on the battlefield—is to learn from history.

We must not repeat the same mistakes. We owe it to them to bridge these memories to a future without war.
