Stepping into the old samurai town of Obi felt like traveling back in time.

From exploring old samurai streets and traditional culture, to trying different kinds of fish cakes with unique flavors, every moment felt like a small discovery.

We wandered through historic samurai residences, explored spaces filled with traditional weapons and culture, and even tried a bit of archery along the way.

Walking beside the quiet water channels, where fish glide gently through the clear streams, the whole town felt calm and timeless.

🎋 Our Bamboo Lantern activity continues to be a favorite, with many guests enjoying the experience as always 🌿

🌸 We’ve also had Ikebana sessions, where guests explored simple and beautiful flower arrangements

🖌️ And recently, we even had some participants who were surprisingly skilled at calligraphy — so impressive to watch 👀✨

Guests from Hawaii and Sweden joined us this week.

Using Oita’s unique bamboo, everyone created their own lantern — each one different, each one special 🌿
We were also happy to receive some lovely messages after the experience ✨

🍳 Cooking Class
We welcomed a group of friends from Hong Kong and a solo traveler from the US

Together, they made dango-jiru and yaseuma from scratch and enjoyed the simple, healthy meal they created 😋
