مشروع استراتيجي جديد لتعزيز مستقبل النقل واللوجستيات في الأردن

Prime Minister Jafar Hassan & HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed witnessed the signing of agreements launching the Aqaba Port Railway Project, a 50/50 Jordanian–Emirati partnership.

With an estimated investment of $2.3 billion, this is the largest railway project in Jordan’s history, designed to connect key mining sites to Aqaba Port, enhance supply chain efficiency, and reduce transport costs.
The project will serve as a cornerstone for Jordan’s national railway network and strengthen Aqaba’s position as a regional logistics gateway, with long-term potential for wider regional connectivity.

شهد رئيس الوزراء الدكتور جعفر حسّان وسموّ الشيخ منصور بن زايد آل نهيان توقيع اتفاقيات إطلاق مشروع سكة حديد ميناء العقبة، ضمن شراكة أردنية – إماراتية متكافئة بنسبة 50/50.

يُعد المشروع الأضخم في تاريخ الأردن في قطاع النقل السككي، باستثمار يبلغ نحو 2.3 مليار دولار، ويهدف إلى تطوير بنية تحتية متقدمة تربط مواقع التعدين بميناء العقبة، وتعزيز كفاءة سلاسل التوريد وتقليل كلف النقل.

كما يشكل المشروع ركيزة أساسية لتطوير شبكة السكك الحديدية الوطنية، وتعزيز مكانة العقبة كبوابة إقليمية للتجارة والخدمات اللوجستية، مع آفاق توسع مستقبلية نحو الإقليم.
