Ex hurricane Erin arrives in the islands tomorrow morning sometime. Big swells arriving first, soon accompanied by wet and windy weather. It looks like we could be stuck ashore for a while 🤔

What a fantastic weekend hosting two super swimmers from the Durley Sea Swims gang!

Saturday saw Harry Nelson absolutely fly round Jersey in beautiful conditions in the amazing time of 9:28. Just 2 minutes off the 10 year old solo record 🥳

Sunday Liz Pudney finally got her chance after a very long wait! Liz wasn’t phased at all up the east coast as everyone onboard Lionheart took a battering from the steep beam sea. Things settled down from La Coupe onwards and Liz continued to power along all the way back to the start/finish, surprising us all with her time of 10:29 which is right up there!

2 awesome people, 2 awesome days! Thank you both from Carlton, James and Matt 🙏😎

After being blown out twice, finally Liz Pudney has got her day around Jersey!
Despite just a light wind, conditions were pretty awful up the east coast but paying dividends now with a flat sea on the north coast.
5:13 to the half way mark so Liz is making great progress 👌

Round 2 going very well so far. The last off the ebb tide ran on a bit longer than last night but we’re in full flood now and well in to French waters 🇫🇷 💪

Friday off to a great start! After a week tied up due to weather, “4 swim 2 France” got away at 11:29 last night with the last of the F4 still lingering but fading away during the early hours.
The team landed at Brettville Plage 9 hours and 3 minutes later and are now on the way home.
Just enough time for a sandwich and a cuppa before we’re back out with Mike Humphries on the afternoon tide 💪

Cracking day for a swim, despite the odd shower and bolt of lightning!
Of course Michella was successful, pushed the the inevitable tough patches and touched the wall after 11 hours and 16 minutes 💪🥳

Very light winds and still warm despite the mist 17° and 18.5° in the water.
