It’s time for Friday’s flight deck update! 👨‍✈️

It’s a tough day but the team and pushing through! 😅 After heading East to Carteret & South to St Brieuc 🇫🇷 this week, it finally time to turn North towards Alderney for our weekend service & what a day to be arriving for a weekend break! 🙌

‘Atlantic’ got back to her expedition roots yesterday as we headed down to the Minquiers for a low tide paddle expedition with the Kayak Nomad team 🚣

Originally built for the harsh arctic waters of Svalbard, Atlantic was designed to carry kayaks & expedition gear with ease!

On Tuesday our team had a break from the waves and took a short flight to Southampton to visit Seawork International Workboat Show 2026 🛟

It was a fantastic opportunity to meet various vessel, equipment & green innovation suppliers seeing first hand the latest & greatest in cutting edge technology. 🌱

We’ve come away from the show with lots of ideas & cunning plans to look into 👀 as we continue to develop our light workboat offering within the Channel Islands ⛴️

It’s been a brilliant first month with a really positive increase in numbers over last years trial 🙌 helped along of-course by the fantastic May bank holiday weather ☀️

About Charlie - A well rounded boater and an enthusiastic senior instructor across sailing and power-boating, Charlie is a valued member of the Water Taxi CI team. He can often be found aboard ‘Atlantic Isle’ for our Alderney service. 🚤💨

Hobbies - When not working Charlie is usually either found on the water sailing or volunteering with the Jersey Lifeboat Association, where he’s boat crew. 🛟
