Hello everyone, we haven't posted anything for a while, so here is a selection of some of the cargo we have carried over the past year between France, Poland, Germany, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, Guernsey, Herm and Jersey, everything from cement, timber, foodstuff, vehicles,furniture, boats, steel, and all sorts of building materiels.
Oversize and difficult loads welcomed.
We can also organise onward european transport and complete door to door re-location and removals.

We've not posted in ages but we are still moving boatloads to and from Granville not to mention various special charters. We are the cheapest and by far the greenest way of getting your goods to or from the Continent. A few snaps from our latest voyages. Sunrise on wednesday at 5.47am with a near full moon still bright in the west. A full load on the return leg, sleepers, barrels, window frames and empty pigeon baskets!

Good evening all, our apologies for not having updated you all sooner. We have received a huge amount of interest during the past few weeks and we are doing our best to offer extra services when we can.

We currently have spaces for foot passengers leaving tomorrow, Monday the 13th from Jersey to Granville at 07:30 and spaces for vehicles and passengers returning from Granville to Jersey at 12:30

Our partner is also operating an extra service from Granville to Jersey leaving Monday the 13th at 11:00 with both car and passenger spaces and returning from Jersey to Granville with very limited car and passenger space.

Thursday the 15th
Friday the 16th
There is also possibility of a further sailing Saturday the 17th but this is not yet confirmed.

Due to the cancellation of Condor to St Malo between the 3rd till the 5th of July we are adding extra sailings where possible.

The passengers ID/Passport
The make and model of the vehicle
The preferred date of travel

You also currently must apply to Jersey customs for authorisation until any other regulations are enacted. This form is completed online: https://one.gov.je/service/Pre_Travel_Authorisation

You will need to enter the vessel name "Thora" and enter the same date as provided to us above.

Our vessel has limited capacity of 12 passengers and restricted vehicle spaces depending on the quantity travelling so it is important to register your demand by email.

Our current pricing per leg of journey is;
£50 per passenger
£60 per square meter for vehicles (e.g. a car of 1.6 meters wide and 4 meters long would cost £384)

This week we reached a milestone with our lifeline repatriation service between St Helier and Granville, Normandy. 7 year old Amber was our 100th passenger since we carried our first stranded Jersey residents back at the end of March. All travel has to be deemed essential and we have been working with the full support and co-operation with Jersey and French Customs and Immigration and Jersey External Affairs.
As a special treat Amber got to sit in the Captain's seat and we laid on several lots of dolphins during our crossing at no extra charge!
French restrictions on travel have now been lifted so authorisation from the French side is no longer required but authorisation from Jersey Customs is still required.

Our freight service continues as normal so if you need anything shipped to or from Europe give us a call to get a quote. If you need it we can find it! Cheaper, quicker, greener, the obvious choice for all freight to or from the Continent.

A new service we are providing at www.boatlods.je is to a local pigeon racing group. This time they flew 22 miles from near Chaussey with 100% back in their lofts shortly afterwards.
Visibility was perfect but with a light northerly wind they were slower than the previous race as apparently pigeons hate flying into a headwind.
They know when they are about to be released from their baskets and are ready to go and fly in a tight flock all together.

Repatriations now number 49 with more this Friday and next week.
No one is sure when Condor will restart but in the meantime if you know anyone that needs to travel to or from Jersey then please get in contact.
