E's taken 'is time to post this picture of me, first to arrive at St Martin's Parish church last October, at the end of the JOMC's annual "Pumpkin Run". Testament to my good turn of speed, despite my 99 years, and 'is wife's impeccable navigation (helps that she's a Jersey gal, I guess).

Always keen to piece together bits of my car's 99 year history, I have managed to identify the location of the photo in John Lewes's biography of his uncle, Jock Lewes, Daisy/Alice's owner in the second half of the 1930s/early 40s.

It is, perhaps rather obviously, Schloss Bredow, the family seat of his friend Ludeloff von Bredow, whom Lewes visited in the winter of 1937. Bredow is about 40 km west of Berlin, and unfortunately found itself in the Soviet bit of Germany post WWII, and became a ruin. Bits of it remain, much altered and adapted, a shadow of its former grandness.
