Some records never really disappear from dancefloors. Guy Cuevas’ Obsession and Ebony Game are two of those. Loft classics, cult disco cuts, records passed between DJs for decades and sought after long before this edition came together.

We were proud to press this special reissue for Libreville Records: Totāl Cuevas, bringing together Guy Cuevas’ essential early works across Ebony Game, Obsession and Gallo Negro, remastered from the original master tapes and expanded with unreleased alternate mixes, alongside the newer “Paris Version” of Obsession.

A true pioneer of modern DJ culture and resident at the legendary Le Palace in Paris, Guy Cuevas created a sound that felt glamorous, hypnotic and deeply emotional all at once. Music made from inside the nightlife itself.

One of those records that connects generations of dancers and selectors without ever sounding tied to one era.

Sometimes we spend so much time and energy thinking about where we want to go that we don't notice where we happen to be 💛

Celebrating our 7 year anniversary like this, after taking a step back from organising events in Verona for a while, felt genuinely special. Seeing Porta Vescovo fill up during the day, friends arriving from different cities and countries, people dancing together from afternoon until midnight… it reminded us why we started doing this in the first place.

GRAZIE to everybody who showed up, travelled, danced, helped and shared the day with us.
We’ll carry this one with us for a long time.

And happy birthday again to Max & Ornella ✨

EDB’s debut album lands worldwide, a statement piece years in the making.

From the futuristic ballad ‘True Love’ featuring UK soulstress Summer Pearl, to the electro tones of ‘Sculptured’ and broken beat abstractions of ‘Neurocloud’, to the cosmic uplifting tones of ‘Voices From Down Under’ featuring the legendary Nathan Haines, the record shows a perfect balance between light and darkness, sophistication and rawness, smooth and angular sounds.
The dancefloor moments are equally present here with Detroit’s Monica Blaire stepping in as a vocalist in ‘Automatic’, powerful instrumental deep house joints like ‘Phaze Shift’ and even a new updated version of his classic ‘This Can’t Be Life’ featuring Chicago’s very own Swaylo.
