Alex Signoretti takes us behind the tools that shape every piece before it becomes glass as we know it, starting with the "maiosso," a wooden tool used to model the glass right after it's gathered, and to cool it down enough for a new pass at the furnace.

Some blues are worth getting lost in. 🌀

A deep swirl opens at the center of this piece and pulls the eye outward, along twisted amber canes, pale turquoise touches and a single ribbon of red that cuts through the blue like a brushstroke. The wavy edge finishes the movement with a gentle, flowing line.
A centerpiece that gives a table its own point of gravity.

A silhouette in bloom. 🌸

Thousands of tiny glass flowers cover every curve of this sculpture, each one a different color. Out in the open air, with the Lagoon and the summer sky behind it, the whole piece seems to come alive.

Seen from above, the light gathers in the folds of this blue centerpiece and settles in soft ripples across the glass. Next to the warm sofa, the color seems even deeper, like a little corner of the sea that decided to stay for a while.
