Last night, I had the honour of being invited to the Fairness Magazine Awards 2026, held in the beautiful Sala della Protomoteca on Rome’s Capitoline Hill.

The evening celebrated the very best of Made in Italy, before continuing with a gala dinner overlooking the breathtaking Imperial Forums.
As I looked out over Rome, I realised something.
We often think Made in Italy is about exceptional products.
I think it’s really about a way of seeing the world.
A belief that beauty isn’t an extra, quality isn’t optional, and even ordinary things deserve to be made beautifully.
Maybe that’s why the world keeps falling in love with Italy.
