Day 1: golf cart past every icon, zero walking. Day 2: Colosseum at sunrise, sunset at the Orange Garden. Day 3: Vatican done right, then singing in Piazza Trilussa. Day 4: Appian Way + Bernini at the Borghese Gallery. Day 5: Amalfi Coast by private boat, or ancient Ostia.

Every food rule in Rome has a reason behind it. ☕🍝

Cappuccino, mornings only. After a meal, it’s espresso. Parmesan on almost everything — except fish, where it would overpower something delicate. Ketchup? Strictly for fries, never near a sauce built over hours.

And “scarpetta” — bread to gather the last of the sauce — isn’t rude at all. It’s the highest compliment a Roman chef can get.
