Wandering the cobbled streets of Rome for the first time feels like stepping into a living history book.

Every weathered archway, every worn piazza, it's all murmuring stories of emperors and gladiators, artists and saints.

And here I am, this tiny speck in the grand tapestry of time, just another traveler passing through.

Gustave Flaubert hit the nail on the head: "Travel makes one modest. You see what a tiny place you occupy in the world."

And boy, does Rome drive that point home! The Colosseum whispers of vanished crowds, the Pantheon's dome stretches on forever, and even the Trevi Fountain, with its tossing coins, reminds me of countless others who've stood in the same spot, wishing on a star. ✨

But this realization isn't about feeling small. It's more like stepping back, seeing the bigger picture.
