Some flights are part of the schedule. Others become part of a story. 🔥

This time, the aircraft was carrying something you don’t see in the cargo manifest every day: the Olympic Flame.

GetJet Airlines had the privilege of operating a special flight for our client, Air Sénégal S.A, with our aircraft and crew bringing the flame from Athens to Dakar ahead of the Youth Olympic Games.

A special mission for the crew, a pretty unique story for our aircraft, and definitely one of those flights that stays with you.

Thanks for a picture Ivan Poleščuk!

Today, we celebrate the Coronation Day of King Mindaugas - a milestone that marked the birth of the Lithuanian state and a defining moment in our nation’s history.

More than 770 years ago, King Mindaugas united lands under a single crown, forging connections that would shape generations to come. Today, aviation carries that same purpose forward by connecting people, cultures, and opportunities across borders.

It’s remarkable to consider that journeys across Europe, once taking weeks or even months in Mindaugas time, are now completed in just a few hours - made possible by innovation, precision, and the dedication of aviation professionals.

As we honor this historic day, we celebrate the enduring spirit of connection, progress, and ambition that continues to inspire us to reach new horizons.

Happy Coronation Day of King Mindaugas from all of us at GetJet Airlines. 🇱🇹
