To end my semester in Europe i’m doing 4 countries in 24 hours haha. I spent the day in Monaco, then went back to my Airbnb in Nice, France. Now i’m flying back to Rome to see it one last time. And I fly back to the US tomorrow morning!

Summer 2024 Update!

I recently just received a job offer a Duane Morris Law Firm where I will be working in their Finance Department in Philadelphia two days a week in person! However, this summer is going to be very chaotic because I plan to spend most of my time living in DC at my apartment.

So 3 days a week I will be working remotely at my apartment in DC. This will make the summer very chaotic with constant traveling back and forth from DC and Philly each week, but this is perfect because I'll get the best of both worlds!

If anyone has any movies they can think of that I just must see in Rome, please let me know. So far I have on my list the Talented Mr. Ripley and Under the Tuscan Sun. Maybe Roman Holiday as well

Kendall, Audrey, and I at the EU center in Rome. This center is part of a series of actions by the EU to get Europeans to feel more unified. Especially for the upcoming EU Parliament elections.

This past weekend I went to Sorrento with Marco, Kate, and Natalie. We also stopped by Amalfi and Positano from a boat. We found this place called Bagni Regina Giovanna and it's like this little cove where supposedly the Queen of Naples used to hang out with her lovers.

Here are some photos from spring break in Barcelona and Lisbon! Lisbon was so amazing and I need to go back someday. They had these little pastries that I'd never seen anywhere else but were everywhere in Lisbon. Also, there was a ball pit in the hostel! We also did a boat ride which was so beautiful. I have to admit Sagrada Familia was very disappointing to see. Very weird

This past weekend I went to Vienna! Some highlights were going on a Ferris wheel to see the whole city, going to Sigmund Freud's house, and Ice Skating at the largest ice skating rink I have ever seen in front of two giant palaces. If anyone is ever going to Vienna, definitely skip Mozart's house. It was very disappointing.

Just arrived in Slovakia! Currently taking a bus to our Airbnb in Austria and it’s so crazy how similar things are as the US. The roads look exactly the same. We’ve passed outdoor shopping malls with Starbucks, Zara and H&M. Same road signs. I wouldn’t even be able to tell that Bratislava wasn’t a city in the US

Just booked my tickets to go to Barcelona, Spain and Lisbon, Portugal for spring break! Let me know if anyone has any recommendations!

Here’s a debrief of all my classes so far! I am hoping I won’t get too much homework this semester but even if I do I think it will be fun homework cause all of my classes are fun topics. All of my classes are at max 15 people and two of them have less than 10! And no class on Friday is amazing for weekend trips.

Italian 101: Learning languages just is not my favorite but it is helpful. Knowing a decent amount of Spanish helps me retain the knowledge but is also difficult at times because I sometimes mix up the languages and use Spanish when trying to speak Italian. This skill is very helpful during conversations with Italians but not in a classroom.

Politics of Enchantment: This class is by far my favorite and maybe the best class I have ever taken. I swear this class was made for me! The class is all about how enchantment and charm are used in politics and to display political messaging. We have talked about the Met Gala and the symbolism of US monuments. If I could make a career out of this I so would. My professor in this class is also very enthusiastic about the class which makes the class so exciting.

Italian Politics and Society & Western European Politics: These two classes are almost identical so far. Hoping they’ll differentiate a little more later on in the semester but who knows. I do enjoy this topic but in both of these classes, I have older professors who are a bit boring.

Digital Marketing: I enjoy the topic of marketing so I am excited for this class. So far it seems the topics won’t be difficult at all because digital marketing comes pretty naturally for me from growing up on the internet and seeing personally how digital marketing has grown and expanded. I know later in the semester we will talk a lot about AI so I am excited to hear about what my professor predicts for how marketing will affect the marketing industry.
