Marilena doesn’t lead guests into her kitchen first, she leads them into her garden outside of Lecce. Between rows of eggplant and fig trees heavy with summer fruit, she explains the permaculture principles behind what she grows, and why sustainability isn’t a talking point for her, it’s how she lives.
