Grandis steel frame set

Top of the line since early 1970's, made by Grandis brothers, frame builders in Verona

Many refined details typical of Grandis production:
Original and exclusive Grandis fork head
Fine cut-outs on the lugs and bb box
Curved rear brake bridge

Probably made with Columbus SL tubing (even if the sticker says KL)
Campagnolo dropouts

Straight, without dents or cracks
Paint with scratches and signs of use (see photos)
Little oxidation spots on the fork (see photos)

Two small holes have been drilled on the fork legs, near the dropouts, to mount the mudguards (see photos)

Top class frame set since mid 1970's

Tecnotelai 2T is a metal equipment manufacturing company in Bologna that in 1975 set up a steel bicycle manufacturing arm

The new frame building business was headed up by respected Modena frame builder Orazio Grenzi who sold his Cicli Virginia workshop to his friend and fellow builder Luciano Paletti

Tecnotelai 2T cycle manufacturing side of the business only stayed active until the mid 1980s before it closed due to financial problems

The frame is branded by F. Bacco, a historic Rome bike shop that closed a few years ago

This frame has finishes and details at the level of the best frame builders of the time

Zeus lightened dropouts

Note the distinctive placement of the cable guides above the top tube, made with special steel slots welded to the tube that stop an aluminum spring to lock the sheath

Rauler steel frame set

Brothers Raul and Reclus Gozzi learned the art of frame building from Colnago and founded the Rauler workshop in 1975. Rauler became a frame supplier for Colnago, distinguishing itself for its quality craftsmanship and innovation.
