Reducing emissions starts with practical solutions and strong partnerships. ⚡🚛
Together with Alpitronic , we have introduced an additional fully electric Scania truck to support the daily transport flow between the warehouse and the production site in Bolzano.
Operating on a route of less than 30 km and completing up to six trips per day, the vehicle is seamlessly integrated into the logistics process. During loading operations, it is recharged at the loading dock with up to 140 kW, partly using electricity generated by Alpitronic’s photovoltaic system, supporting efficient operations without disruption.
This project demonstrates how collaboration and innovative technologies can accelerate the transition toward more sustainable logistics while delivering reliable, everyday transport solutions.

🚛⚓🌊 When every tonne matters, planning makes the difference. Our Project Cargo team successfully coordinated the transport of three transformers weighing up to 180 tonnes each, delivering a tailor-made multimodal solution across Europe.

The journey combined multiple transport modes to ensure safe and efficient delivery:

🛣️ Road transport from Legnano to Valdaro Port
🚢 River barge to Porto Marghera
⚓ Ocean vessel to Rotterdam
🚢 River barge from Rotterdam to Linz, Austria

Planned since the end of 2025, this project required meticulous coordination between every transport interface, careful management of heavy-lift operations, and the flexibility to adapt to unexpected changes along the way.

Originally consisting of four units, the project was successfully reconfigured to three, ensuring operations remained on schedule, with deliveries completed by 12 June 2026.

At Gruber Logistics, we transform complex logistics challenges into seamless transport solutions through expertise, precision, and teamwork.

A valuable exchange on the future of sustainable freight transport: we were delighted to visit the headquarters in Lagundo, Meran, for a meeting dedicated to innovation, collaboration and the transition towards low-emission logistics.

Together with Christian Gruber of Gruber Logistics, Cordula Wolf, Member of the Executive Board of FORST, Daniel Alfreider, Deputy Governor of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano and Provincial Councillor for Mobility and Infrastructure and Simone Martinelli Sales Manager E-Mobility, Urban & Construction at Scania Italia, we discussed the opportunities and challenges of accelerating the decarbonisation of road freight transport.

The visit also provided the opportunity to showcase the Scania 40 R Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) that Gruber Logistics operates as part of the European ZEFES project. The vehicle, which operates on routes between Verallia Italia and FORST, is powered by hydrogen fuel cell technology. It is already being used in daily operations, demonstrating how innovative solutions are becoming part of everyday logistics.

A sincere thank you to Verallia Italia and FORST for the warm hospitality and to everyone involved for the inspiring discussions and shared commitment to shaping a more sustainable future for our industry.

🚛⚡ Bringing innovation closer to the institutions driving the future of mobility!
Yesterday, our Gruber Logistics site at Bologna Interporto we had the opportunity to present the EMPOWER project's first electric prototype and discuss its contribution to the decarbonisation of heavy-duty road transport.

The discussion also explored the synergies between EMPOWER, Shift2Zero, sustainable urban logistics and the large-scale deployment of autonomous vehicles, highlighting the importance of collaboration in accelerating Europe's path towards zero-emission freight transport.

We were honoured to welcome Irene Priolo, Regional Minister for Mobility and Transport of Emilia-Romagna, Michele Campaniello, Councillor for New Mobility, Infrastructure, Transport, City 30 and Road Safety of the Municipality of Bologna, Andrea Bardi, President of the Institute for Transport and Logistics (ITL), Stefano Caliandro, President of Interporto Bologna, and Giuseppe Dall'Asta, General Director of Interporto Bologna.

Supporting the development and testing of innovative mobility solutions is an essential part of our commitment to advancing a more sustainable and resilient logistics sector.

Thank you to all participants for an engaging and forward-looking discussion. Together, we continue driving the transition towards a more sustainable and innovative future for freight transport. 🌍⚡
