Today Norwich City are our guests. I still have no digital TV signal so no commentary, but today I have to follow the football and the Italian Grand Prix Qualifying. The first half begins with Norwich on the attack and dominating possession. On the 8th minute Musaba put the ball into the top right hand corner of our goal; 0:1. On 10 and 11 minutes Andre Brooks, our former player, had chances, but missed with one and the second was saved. After 15 minutes Norwich had 70% of possession, though we were making chances. Donovan had a chance on 18 minutes, but it was saved by the Norwich goalkeeper. We were grdually getting more possession and on the 23rd minute Patrick Bamford scored outside the Norwich box, from a pass from Tyrese Campbell; 1:1. After 35minutes we were creeping up to 50% of possession and getting chances. On 42 and 44 minutes first Campbell and then Brooks had chances. However, on 44minutes Norwich went forward and Toure scored; 1:2. Then Toure was given a yellow card for over celebrating. There were 2 minutes of added time, but the first half ended 1:2. The second half begins and the boss brings on Kalvin Phillips for Riidewald. Both teams were trading fouls and free-kicks as Gasly took pole in the Italian Grand Prix; I am struggling to believe I just typed that. On 54 minutes Kalvin Phillips had right-footed shot from outside the box, but missed the target. If Gasly can get pole in the Italian Grand Prix, I reckon our boss should bring himself on as a substitute, he might score a couple of goals. Speaking of substitues, on 58minutes the boss brought on McCallum and Cannon for Canpbell and Norrington-Davies, but did not put himself on. On 61 minutes Norwich brought on Kvistgaarden, who went straight into the attack and scored; 1:3. It was starting to look like it was not going to be our day! We kept the effort up and started getting more possession again, we were winning free-kicks, but they were in our half. Ben Brereton-Diaz had a chance on target on 73minutes, but it was saved. On 77minutes the boss brought on Arblaster and Shackleton for Donovan and Brereton-Diaz. On 80minutes Norwich were looking more likely to score than us. We went back to trading free-kicks. McCallum had a chance on 86minutes but missed. We kept driving forward and 4minutes of extra-time were announced. On 94minutes Choudhury put the ball through to McCallum, but his shot went over the bar. It was the last action of the game as the referee blew the final whistle. Oggi ospitiamo il Norwich City. A proposito di sostituzioni, al 58° minuto l'allenatore manda in campo McCallum e Cannon al posto di Campbell e Norrington-Davies, ma non inserisce se stesso. Al 61° minuto il Norwich fa entrare Kvistgaarden, che si porta subito in attacco e segna: 1-3. Iniziava a sembrare che non fosse proprio la nostra giornata! Abbiamo continuato a spingere e a guadagnare nuovamente possesso palla, conquistando anche dei calci di punizione, sebbene nella nostra metà campo. Al 73° minuto Ben Brereton-Diaz ha avuto un'occasione, centrando lo specchio della porta, ma il tiro è stato parato. Al 77° minuto il tecnico ha mandato in campo Arblaster e Shackleton al posto di Donovan e Brereton-Diaz. All'80° minuto il Norwich sembrava più vicino al gol rispetto a noi. Tonight we are at home to Bolton Wanderers. The evening began with the news headline that Callum O'Hare had left on deadline day, moving to Wrexham. Goodbye to one of our best players. The first half began with Bolton attacking and in the first minute they scored with their first attack; 0:1. We had the bulk of possession and charged forward. We won a free kick and Japhet Tanganga headed the ball into the net; 1:1. 4 minutes in and another crazy start to the match. On 8 minutes Bamford missed a chance and we kept pressing and won a couple of corners. After 15minutes we had about 60% of possession, but Bolton got the next chance on 18minutes, but missed from outside our box. It was Bolton's turn to get some possession and have corners, but nothing came from it. The play became end-to-end and after 30 minutes Sam McCallum got a couple of free kicks and Ben Brereton-Diaz had a shot from outside the box saved. Then Sydie Peck had a chance that went high over the bar. After 40 minutes we got a corner and Romelle Donovan had a shot, but missed the goal, and Bamford had a chance on 43 minutes and missed. It was still 1:1 when the whistle went for the end of the first half. The second-half began and on 47 minutes our goalkeeper, Cooper, put the ball out for a corner, but Bolton made nothing of it. Bolton were soon leading 2-0 in yellow cards. On 53 minutes Sam McCallum passed the ball to Bamford in the box, but his shot was blocked. On 57 minutes Romelle Donovan crossed to Ben Brereton-Diaz, but his header missed the goal. On 62minutes the boss brought on Phillips, Arblaster and Cannon for Campbell, Peck and Riedewald. On 67 minutes Bolton got a free-kick and scored from the resulting header; 1:2. Then, on 68 minutes, we charged forward and Bamford scored from close range; 2:2. There was then a period of the teams trading free-kicks. On 77 minutes Tom Cannon had a shot, but missed the target. There was a delay on 80 minutes after Ben Brereton-Diaz was fouled and he had to go off. Jamie Shackleton replaced him. On 83 minutes Cooper made a great save, but conceded a corner. Bolton were unable to make anything of the corner. On 86 minutes Norrington-Davies come on for Sam McCallum. Bolton were trying to get the winner and had a succession of chances that were stopped by Cooper. There were 4 minutes of extra-time announced and on 93 minutes Romelle Donovan scored after running into the box. Cardiff City v The Blades. I still have no digital signal into my home, so no commentary. The first half began with both sides trying to attack, but on the second minute Cardiff charged forward at lightening speed and scored; 1:0. It could be a long afternoon. Then we charged into the Cardiff box and Tom Cannon was brought down. Penalty! Cannon took the ball and stroked the it into the bottom left hand corner of the Cardiff goal; 1:1. Cardiff came forward again, but our boys dispossessed them and charged forward. On 7minutes Callum O'Hare put the ball in the Cardiff net; 1:2. And the BBC text has stopped updating, fortunately we have the club text. The BBC text still says it's 1:0 to Cardiff. I hope someone at the club is not playing a trick on us. I am thinking of paying for the cubs radio commentary, I have not decided yet. After 20minutes Cardiff were having 60% of the possession, but were not doing as much with it as our boys. And I am so busy writing this that I have let my biscuit fall into my coffee; c***o. I still have my Limoncello, not as good as the Limoncello made by Miki Fattore's mum, but it's okay. We were giving away too many corners, but Cardiff were not getting anything from them, but on 38minutes all of the Cardiff possession, 70% by then, they scored a second; 2:2. It was still 2:2 at half-time. The second half started in a similar way to the first half ended, both teams trying to attack. Our boss had brought on Shackleton and Phillips to replace Bamford and Donovan for the second half. We carried on giving away too many corners and after 55minutes both teams were trying hard without looking like scoring again. On 58minutes Norrington-Davies replaced Baptiste and on 65minutes Ridewald replaced Rothwell. On 66minutes Peck missed with a shot from outside the Cardiff box, but Cardiff were still having the bulk of possession. After 75minutes it was 2:2 in goals and yellow cards. Cardiff kept on attacking and again our best player seemed to be our goalkeeper, Michael Cooper. On 85minutes Ben Brereton-Diaz came on for Tom Cannon, but Cardiff kept getting all the chances and Michael Cooper was keeping us in the game. On 92minutes Peck won a free-kick on the right wing, but it came to nothing and the final score was 2:2. Cardiff City contro The Blades. Swansea City v The Blades. I have a technical issue with my signal coming into my home and the BBC will not provide match coverage on the internet. So, no commentary. The match began with Swansea having 70% of possession, but we slowly picked up and had a couple of attacks. After 15 minutes we had got to 40% of possession. We were doing more with the ball than Swansea, but the amount of possession they had was worrying. After 30 minutes Swansea were still dominating possession, but neither goalkeeper had needed to make a save. On 47 minutes we finally had a shot on target, when the Swansea goalkeeper saved a shot from Sam McCallum. Then the referee blew his whistle to end the first half; 0:0. The second half started in the same way, Swansea having the bulk of possession, but failing to get a shot on target. I am beginning to wonder if not having any commentary on this match was actually merciful? After 60 minutes there has still only been one shot on target. Yawn. On 65 minutes Riedewald came on for Rothwell. On 68 minutes Sydie Peck had a shot on target saved by the Swansea goalkeeper; two shots on target. On 78 minutes Tyrese Campbell replaced Patrick Bamford. On 85 minutes Swansea had a header on target that was saved by Cooper. On 90 minutes it was announced that there were 4 minutes of added torment, oops, I meant added time. On 95 minutes (90 +4 = 95???) we got a free kick, but nothing came of it and after 96 minutes (90 + 4 = 96????) the referee put us all out of our misery and blew the final whistle. Blades v Birmingham City. We began well and after 15 minutes we had had several attacks, but could not make the final pass count. Birmingham also had attacks and got four corners which made the BBC Sheffield commentators nervous because Birmingham had some big players. Tanganga was doing well in defence, while O'Hare was doung well, feeding the ball to Donovan and Cannon. After twenty minutes the summariser was saying that both teams were playing in a similar manner and it was difficult to see who would score. On 25 minutes Sydie Peck sent the ball into the Birmingham box and the ball looked like it was going over Bamford's head, but he went for a fantastic overhead kick, but found the side netting. Cochrane was Birmingham's best player, who kept orchestrating attacks from the Blues with some great passing. After 30 minutes it seemed both teams were getting a bit irritable and no-one on either team were getting time on the ball. Birmingham had a little more possession, but were also committing more fouls. After 40 minutes the commenatotrs were wondering why McGuiness was deemed surplus to requirements at the Blades, as he was our best player, defending well as Birmingham began to dominate the end of the first half. The first half ended without either team getting shots on goal as the teams were cancelling each other out; both teams needed a bit more quality in the opponents box. The second-half began with no substitutions; both teams needed better balls into the opponents box and better finishing. Birmingham seemed to start better and were keeping 55% of possession. O'Hare was trying to get things going for the Blades, but there were still no shots on target after 50 minutes. After 55 minutes Cannon was not looking good and our boss told Campbell and Chong to get ready. Birmingham's Vicente then charged into our box, but Tanganga made a great tackle and the ball went out for a corner. Then, on 60 minutes, Campbell and Chong came on for Donovan and Cannon. After 63 minutes Birmingham had managed to get a shot on target, but Cooper saved. Birmingham were starting to look the most dangerous, they had got into second gear but we were still in first and our boss responded by replacing Rothwell with Arblaster. With 20 minutes to go, we finally started to build up a head of steam and got a shot on target. Our fans were becoming nervous with 15 minutes left to play. Then Callum 0'Hare got the ball through to Bamford, whose shot on target was saved by the Blues goalkeeper. Then Bamford and Burrows were replaced by McCallum and Ryan Oné. Oné made an instant impact by almost scoring, but he had drifted off-side. It looked like one mistake would give either team a winning goal. Oné then ran forward at speed and our fans were getting warmed up, then they were screaming for a penalty when Burrows went down in the box. Then Oné went down clutching his face and the referee called the Blades medical staff onto the pitch. Oné came back on with a strapped up thigh and was moving freely. We were now having attacks, but still not managing to make chances. There were 5 minutes of extra-time as the Blues began to control the ball. Both defences and goalkeepers had been the best players. Then we went into the attack and Seriki put the ball into the box, but without any chance on target. Then the final whistle went; 0:0. The defence's of both teams were outstanding, but both sets of attackers were not great. Room for improvement, but all our players gave it all for each other and the fans. Tanganga si stava comportando bene in difesa, mentre O'Hare brillava a centrocampo, servendo palloni interessanti a Donovan e Cannon. Al ventesimo minuto, l'opinionista ha osservato che le due squadre giocavano in modo simile, rendendo difficile prevedere chi avrebbe sbloccato il risultato. First match of the season. EFL Cup match, Mansfield Town v The Blades. Kick off was at 4pm. The games was quiet for the first 3 minutes, then in the 4th minute our boys drove forward and Joe Rothwell had a shot that was missing to the right, then the ball came to Patrick Bamford, who scored with a shot from the centre of the box; 0:1. We kept pushing forward, but Mansfield were not giving up and kept breaking into our half. The biggest danger came from Davic McGoldrick, a former Balde now playing for Mansfield. On 19minutes Bamford had another chance, but his header was too high. Seriki and Chong were beginning to work well together. Joe Rothwell had a chance on 24minutes, but his shot was blocked. On 26minutes Mansfield had a chance, but the shot was saved by Michael Cooper. Thith Chong was then taken of because of injury and was replaced by Romelle Donovan. On 33minutes Sydie Peck put the ball through to Callum O'Hare, whose right foot shot was blocked. Mansfield kept breaking and on 43minutes won their first corner and from it, Cooper made a great save that conceded a second then a third corner. The ball was saved again, but the ball went out for another corner that Mansfield could not make anything of. Then the ref blew for the end of the first half. The second half started with Harrison Burrows coming on for Norringtom-Davies. We went on the attack and won a corner on 49minutes, but Bamford could only put his resulting header over the bar. Our visiting supporters were making the noise. Mansfield were slowly pushing to see if they could get an equalizer and on 60minutes made a couple of substitutions. Tom Cannon just did not seem to be able to get into the game. Mansfiled kept pushing on and nearly got behind Michael Cooper, but the ball ran out of play. McGoldrick kept pulling the strings in the Mansfield attack. The boss took of Bamford and Rothwell and brought on Ollie Arblaster and Ryan One. Then we had a corner from Sydie Peck on 71minutes and Mark McGuinness scored from a header; 0:2. The game was over, but our boys kept pushing forward as Peck, Arblaster and O'Hare cut through Mansfield, but the beautiful play could not provide a goal. With ten minutes to go we were the more dangerous side, but all our good play was not leading to goals, we should have been leading by four or five goals. Femi Seriki went down with a back injury and Matt Docherty came on to replace him. On 87minutes Mansfield started giving away free-kicks, but we kept playing well and Donovan gave the ball to Callum O'Hare who put the ball into the net; 0:3.
