Guidi Srl

Bruno Guidi inizia a produrre access

📏 Units of measurement
One inch is 25.4 mm. But knowing that is not always enough

From a length perspective, 1 inch corresponds to 25.4 millimeters. But in plumbing, hydraulic fittings, and mechanical fittings, the mathematical conversion is not always enough.

Because other factors come into play:
– technical standards
– reference standards
– nominal diameters
– nominal pressures

👉 Converting a measurement does not automatically guarantee compatibility.

🔧 Let’s hear the engineer
Corrosion is not immediate. But it is inevitable if you choose the wrong material

In a marine environment, materials do not all react in the same way.
Some components may look perfect at first, but over time they can suffer:
– internal corrosion
– structural weakening
– loss of reliability

The problem is that it is often not visible until it is too late.
👉 The choice of material determines long-term behavior. Time is the real technical test.

📏 Units of measurement
Millimeters, inches, and nominal dimensions: let’s clarify

In a system, confusion can easily arise because components, standards, and markets may use:
– metric system
– imperial system
– nominal dimensions

The problem begins when a measurement is interpreted as if it were always an actual measurement. But in the technical world, it does not work that way.

👉 Before choosing a component, you need to understand whether you are dealing with an actual measurement or a nominal reference.

⚙️ Products
Water strainer "Ionio" series

A strainer is not only used to “clean,” but also to protect:
– heat exchangers
– engines
– generators
– air conditioning systems

👉 It blocks impurities before they enter the system.

🔧 Let’s hear the engineer
Durability: designed, not declared

A product does not last longer by chance. It depends on:
– selected materials
– safety margins
– real testing

Reducing costs on components means reducing service life.
👉 Durability is a design decision.

🧿 Insights
Simplicity is a technical advantage

A simple system is:
– easier to control
– more reliable
– easier to maintain

👉 Adding complexity does not necessarily improve performance.

Grated water intake "Goccia" series: when shape is function

The drop-shaped profile is not aesthetic.

It is a design solution:
– it reduces flow resistance
– it improves water passage
– it optimizes system performance

👉 A shape taken from nature, adapted to engineering.

🔧 Let’s hear the engineer
Materials: where they come from matters

Quality is not only about the finished product. It also concerns:
– origin of raw materials
– supplier reliability
– supply chain continuity

👉 Quality is built before production.

🧿 Insights
Prevention is design

Some problems are not managed. They are avoided.
Phenomena such as:
– siphon effect
– air intake
– cavitation
must be considered already during the design phase.

👉 A good system prevents. It does not react.
